The real problem is that the FSF decided to redefine the word "Free", and the OSI decided to redefine "open-source". RMS thinks that just because he says "free" means something other than the DICTIONARY DEFINITION of "free" and what 99.9% of English-speakers think to be the meaning of "free".
Likewise, "open-source" implies openness of the source code. But no, the OSI decided that it means the exact thing the FSF said "free" means. We need one term that is our own, and that doesn't already mean something else.
They are not forcing you to do anything, unless a guy from opera came to your house, held a gun against your head, and said, "use my browser." You are still free to use Moz, FF, even IE if you're so inclined.
Make spam illegal, that is the only real way to stop it.
Write your congressman, if you have some free time try to meet with one of them and lobby them. Few people know how remarkably easy it is to get your congressman to sit down and meet with you.
Linux is free. Just because people volunteered their time developing it doesn't mean it isn't free. That's like saying charity isn't free because it takes time to go drop off your cans at Salv. Army or whatever.
Sorry, but this time Microsoft wins. Sunbird is not even a complete piece of software. Last time I used it, not all the menu buttons even did anything. (This was a known problem.) I imagine on a Windows system, where one app crashing can bring down the system, it is a lot more annoying.
I hate Microsoft Windows as much as the next guy, but Outlook has them beat. If only it worked on Linux.

Bad coder! No computer for you!
Go here, please.
Likewise, you can get a keygen or crack for Opera. Mod grandparent up, that was a really good point.

You forget:

5. Profit!

It doesn't "rail against misspellings", it rails against misspelling things on purpose. But thank you for the heads-up so I can fix it.
Wrong. The odds of any particular 13th of the month being a friday is 1 in 7, but the odds of any particular day being Friday the 13th are much less.
No, it GNU/runs GNU/Linux.

RMS
It's true you know.

And free!=valueless.
Dude! I found this really cool thing a while back.
It's called "Linux". Try googling it.
Nobody cares how fast a hybrid car goes. They are not designed for speed.
It would probably only be about twice as expensive, but it wouldn't fit as well in current cases.
I know it's an easily remedied problem, but it is something.
PB is fine. It is used in a lot of high-profile games, gmase which wouldn't dare install spyware, lest their producer's reputation be gone forever.
Install it.
You're absolutely right. I stand corrected.
Red Hat's software itself isn't for pay, only the service of packaging it up nicely is. That's why there are things like White Box Linux.
Sorry, you're wrong.
End of story.

Then again, Red Hat seems to do it quite well.
I was referring to an error a while back, in which they inadvertantly banned a bunch of accounts.
They have since fixed it.
If any of you got banned from aim, you will remember that AOL's DB admins are all idiots. I wouldn't want to trust my email to that.
I think someone's been working at EA too long if this is their outlet
Thank you for the compliment :)
