    The right click context menu is a default that is included. Frankly I hate that I can't scroll via the keyboard when my mous is over an ad (maybe any image).

    In the age of reality TV the way you phrase things makes it more uh important or serious like. Wishing good luck doesn't have the same ring as prayers when referring to a guy who gets to go to outer space.

    How is knowing the filename knowing what YOU're doing?

    Are the filenames part of your DNA? Do they reveal mystical truths about your horoscope? Tracking your IP address and such would be quite different.

    A prayer is dedication of attention and focus to a noun (person, place, or thing). Has nothing to do with superstition. While a person might pray out of faith another might pray out of respect.

    I call b.s. The kind of monitoring that's going on here is no different than a hosting provider that monitors how much bandwidth a customer is using, except that some packets (song1.mp3) are counted in one group and others (song2.mp3) are counted in another group.

    I'm all for appointing a dead guy over Ashcroft, but paranoia is only likely to miss dangerous abuses over normal behavior.

    Ironic. This is the kind of bickering that allows software patents to pass through the common sense filter.

    It's pretty clear what he meant, and I would add that the same issue of applicability exists in copyright regarding the DMCA.

    It would be great if people who don't know as much about the details between patents, trademarks, and copyrights but DO RECOGNIZE the universal boundaries that when crossed constitute a situation where the law is not applicable.

    Trademarks, copyrights, and patents all share these boundaries in almost exactly the same way. Let one group worry about the details and don't shut out those who can contribute correctly (if not accurately) to the general picture.
