It really is maddening that they removed the Up button in Explorer. I think it wasn't because they wanted space... it was because they thought it was too confusing for the typical user. "How can they go up when there is no down button..." At the very least they should have kept it as an option for "experts"!
I can see thousand of people trying to make numeric directories:) Yes, also if you can run your tummy while patting your head you aren't infected also. I think.... this crazy idea is the virus!
I agree with that. I would add one more thing... compiling. Compiling to a bytecode is good enough -- doesn't have to be to the raw metal. For years Perl has almost had it bit it still doesn't work:(
you may be eligible to participate in a Royalty-Free File Format Program and to receive technical documentation for certain Microsoft Office binary file formats.
Er, why not just put um on a website. Be open or not.
I think you'd get backache if you learned of over a Surface-like thing for a while. Maybe the answer is to flip it up horizontal. To avoid the cost of a touch screen (or sensors) you might instead use a mouse on a flat surface like a desk. That would be one awesome system!
The CZ report says (essentially) that it makes no sense to have two office standards then makes that comment green - meaning no objection. Why? Their conclusion doesn't match their data. Perhaps they just think there is no way Microsoft can be stopped.
One offense for each member of the Facebook group.
(Really, I'm not making this up)
There needs to be some description of an XML lite.
For config files and such.
- No doctype needed

Sadly they have lots of data to work with.
I would predict that the worst attacks occur in crowded markets where there are lots of people.

Cool map. Seems that Alcatel Lucent did about 50% of the cables.
Maybe Bill Gate's smartest move was knowing when to leave.

Does it require that IMs with an external IM server (like AOL, MSN, GTalk) be logged?
What's it matter if you run it or AOL.
Also, I wonder what's next. Will companys be required to video tape every employee in the office all the time and retain the tape of years?!

Maybe programmers would get more respect if we wore snappy uniforms like pilots?
This is great news. Hopefully it will shame the others to switch to XMPP. Yes, I mean you MSN.
Nice idea. I like it tidy inside my computer as well.
But why the hoops. The Microsoft site says

Other companies will copy it and then maybe there will be one I can afford.

I wonder if this fixes will make any difference in the real world.
I use most of those program and they are already 100% reliable for me.
I really hope my next phone runs Linux!
Perhaps it will also find that beards and sandals are safest. Proving that nerds were right all along.
Yum caches. So if you do two yum commands close together in time the second and subsequent are pretty fast.
Wow, now its not-in-my-backyard but not-in-the-basement-of-my-apartment.
The new recursive patterns should increase perl's readability.
Its like they change the URLs weekly.
I wonder if its on purpose (to avoid bookmarking) or just bad design.
First car, what's that? I certainly loved my first computer however!
I can see some appear. Lets say you traveled lots without a laptop. And were rich.
It should would be cool to have EV-DO internet access for my laptop at a reasonable
price without an extra "modem" hanging off it.
