Every morning now when I read/. I start my own private hate campaign agaisnt Microsoft, the RIAA, Ashcroft, Senators, and now any Queue which I may have to wait in which I wouldn't have thought about today ...unless I subscribe to this cyinical news chatter.
I was much happier before all this information became available and made me think I was starting to care.
Well I just bought a laptop with Windows XP Home Edition (no choice) and apparently I can't get IIS for it.
Took me about 2 seconds to head over to Apache.org and try out v2.0 and so far it looks great.
Does anyone know if you can get IIS for Windows XP Home?
If not then tell me what MS is smoking.
Cause I don't care one way or another if it's IIS or Apache. I'll use whatever I can download and install quickly.
DISCLAIMER: I apologize for using Windows XP Home Edition. Please don't reply to this email as I will be having myself taken outback
and shot.
If Sun can't even PRETEND to be any better than MS in the Open Source offerings, I guess I'll just have to stop programming in Java and use C#. Will C# run on Mono? Don't know much about it.

Excuse me... Yuna needs me to summon an Aeon now:)
For those of you who have never used one, let me put it like this.
In 1989 I bought an Amiga 500. My jaw dropped.
I have never experienced another piece of technology the way I did the first year I used
amiga. It's sound, graphics, multitasking, and interface WAS that good... that far ahead of it's time.
If there were and equivalent to getting laid the first time it would be the Amiga. Sure you've had better since, but you will remember it always. For the record I'll take my first lay over the Amiga anytime;)
is Microsoft as all of it's main competitors
successfully destroyed each other as they tried
to take down Windows.
It all started when Scott McNealy in a rash of unintelligent banter retaliated toward Oracle by announcing "oh yeah! Well... well... Solaris will only be supporting Linux from now on too!"
Uninitiated consumers are still getting milked by
the corporate electronics world for not recognizing an overpriced obsolete product when
it hits the shelves.
I hope it looks sweet like an iMac or something... cause then impulse buying really kicks in!
Does it run Linux? If it does then I'll buy one cause I'm always looking for a cheap Linux box. I can't seem to install it on my FM radio in my Car. Guess when they designed radios they didn't even care about running Linux. Bastards!

an altered version of Akira could get really
screwed up.
But don't you guys think a lot of people shouting
here may only be worried that there
precious nitch culture in
America, that is Anime, is in danger.
Many people who love Anime are in love with
it because most Americans don't get it.
What if this adaptation of Akira just rocks
so much and people like it better than
the Matrix or some other popular western film?
What if all of a sudden future Anime works changed just
slightly so that everyone got it?
Scary thought?
For the record, I love a lot of Anime, but a lot :)
of it is a reach to understand without a
bit of replay. Which I am more than happy to do of course

The same way people claim first post on /.
You just have to say you were first. Pretend the others don't exist.

Who the hell wants a black and white toy.
A backlit color Etch-a-Sketch is a better toy than this thing.

You recieved it on time right? Let's just think
of UPS as UDPs. You get it fast, but it may
have a few bytes taken out of it!
