There was a treaty banning poison gas before WW1, and the Germans broke it, the only response the British, French and Canadians had was to break the treaty themselves. In WW2, no-one put any faith in the anti-gas treatys, the fear of gas attacks was massive, with everyone in Britain carrying gas masks where ever they went. As a counter measure, Churchill stockpiled absolutely massive amounts of mustard gas, which was to be dropped on every German city in the event of any gas attack on Britain, which the Germans knew about. That was the amount of faith that was put into treaties, the reason there were no gas attacks in WW2 was more because mutually assured destruction than treaties. As soon as the war was over, Churchill found a use for some of his gas stockpile by gassing the Kurds, no hesitation because of none of the Arabs he had gassed had any gas of their own to retaliate with.
Well, actually, the plan was the other way around, the US, UK and France all appeased the Nazis because they planned to use the Nazis to eliminate the USSR. Fascist ideas of course being no threat to capitalism, were seen by the upper classes as preferable to communism.
no, bigotry is a predudice held against a group of people not based on an adequate cause. The defing factor is that is directed at a group of people equally, based solely on them being part of that group. The Church of Scientology is not a group of people, it is a corporation which has committed countless criminal acts including conducting espionage against the US government and fabricating terrorist threats, and is hatrid against it for it's criminal and unethical actions as legitimate as hatrid against any other corporation.
to increase employee happiness, simply fire all the miserable people. Although you wouldn't want to, because unhappy people are easier to manage than happy ones.
$71! You were lucky to be paying that, I had to sacrifice a newborn child every full moon, and pour his blood into the card slot on the decoder box for my cable TV.
Let me guess, you did it at night school while you were training training as a monorail driver and undergoing zero G training ready for your move to the international moon base in the year 2000?
oh yes, of course, if something is the law, then it can't possibly be unjust. Now I see, all the millions killed by Stalin, it wasn't unjust, it was ok, cos they broke the law. When Iran, China, North Korea, Syria and Saudi arabia imprison people for being political dissents, its not unjust cos its the law. When the Taliban stoned women to death for showing an ankle, it was the women's fault, they were criminals, stoning them to death was totally ok, it wasn't unjust. And the Holocaust, the Nazis weren't war criminals, they had the law on their side. Thank you so much for explaining it to me, it all makes sense now. Thank goodness for your incredible logic and ethical thinking, o wise philosopher.
no one moaned about 64 bit? as I recall everyone moaned, and xp 64 bit edition was a sack of donkey shit for quite some time. Obviously stuff does change, buts its not like it went from the original 8086 to a 64 bit dual core thingy overnight, how many years did that take? how many time did they get held up thinking about legacy concerns and stuff, how long did we have old crappy 16 bit drivers and programs in a 32 bit operating system? how many people are moaning that they can't get decent 64 bit drivers? If you think hardware advances are never held back by compatibility concerns, you need a reality check.
As for the cell processor, wow, there are just like billions of games for the ps3, its so amazingly popular, oh and its so great that I can get windows xp to work perfectly on my cell based pc. oh wait..
as for cell processors, sure they are pretty cool, and they are something different, but its not like I can stick one in a beige box, and that's the only fact that counts as far as my argument goes.
Because our software is not made to run on some crazy shit that you just made up. Thats the reason we still have the same X86 architecture since like a million years ago, noone is chump enough to make something totally different that nothing runs on. Everything already supports multiple processors though, so making a chip with 2 core is the sensible thing to do as far as compatibility goes.
Ha, a flying car is a pretty lame thing to buy on eBay, there are waaay cooler thing you can get. I got a time machine arriving this week, I hope it works better than the teleporter I bought last week tho.
If you do a painting of a bowl of fruit, and you take a digital photo of the same bowl of fruit and print it out, which is going to be most accurate?
microwave in the glove compartment dumbass.
If time immemorial means the 50's then yes.
Idea for a new romantic comedy: When Tubgirl Met Goatse.

but this law would let them do it without a court order, in fact without any good reason at all.
so that's the purpose of Chinese fire drills.
but left and right socks are the same, except for cartoon socks and toe socks.

Don't forget to order black face visors for all your minions too.
My N64 went all corroded on the cartridge contacts after I left it unused for long time, but shoving the cartridge in and out dozen times fixed it
Wow, you actually learned Esperanto?
Let me guess, you did it at night school while you were training training as a monorail driver and undergoing zero G training ready for your move to the international moon base in the year 2000?
Thinking about it isn't a problem. I often think about cleaning the house, actually getting up of my butt and doing it is what I want to avoid.
I want my robot to do my house work and fetch me beer and food, not hang from the light fitting and throw faeces at me.
