no more driving across the peace bridge to get plastered between the fragile ages of 19 and 21? I mean I could but I'd probly forget where I put my passport...
the article states having a barcode or some other form of security that must actually be read, how about encrypting the data on the rfid and putting the key on the barcode?
it has a lot of potential, I've been playing since beta, started in December. It is still buggy, and there are quite a few... ideosyncracies(sp?) but if they ever get them worked out (which so far they've shown quite a bit of improvement) then it will be a fantastic game. I think pushing back the release date like a month would have really helped them.
It didn't say "no services" it said "It will be running all the services normally found in a regular Linux distribution and more."
therefore what? dhcp, dns, http, etc?
School of thought A:
Violent video games breed violent behavior
School of thought B:
Violent video games do not lead to violent tendencies, and/or are actually positive since they allow any such violent behaviors to be released in a non-violent way (read cathartic)
But in the end, if you are under 18 (depending on your area I suppose) you can't get these games, unless of course you parents/uncles and aunts/older brothers and sisters decide you are mature enough for them.
Personally I believe that the only leg that members of school of thought A have to stand on is that if you spent hours in a video arcade playing house of the dead you might have some sort of a feel for what it is like to use a gun. Pointing and clicking has never really made me more of a violent person, or for that matter given me an new sort of skills that might exacerbate a violent personality.
but after all's said and done, if you are too young to buy the game someone bought it for you. So whats next? A law holding the person who bought the game for you resposible for you actions? If indeed your actions came as a result of playing some game?
people here saying software X has this particular idiosyncracy...
Not the point
The linux core is more stable and more reliable than the windows core. Period.
I can count on one had the number of times Linux has out and out just died (Kernel Panic) on me, and half were hardware issues.
Compare this to BSOD...
Once software support is equivelent(sp?) to windows the Linux OS will begin to become more mainstream.
heh i go there, and well spoken...

aww who cares by then I'll be 21 anyway
Computer Gaming World Magazine runs a segment every month on what to do with $100, and they're usually right on, grab an issue and see what they say.
there are pictures of ground zero, but my house, which is fairly new, isn't there. some areas are fairly new (NYC, 5 years)
come find me when I can plug the thing right into my brain and move the mouse with just a thought
in fact screw the mouse, I just want to see my porn...
*thinks "open porn"*

just a thought
step 1: Post an article on slashdot
step 2: sit back and watch "radical website" grind to a halt
step 3: drink coffee and pat yourself on the back
but public/private key encryption would do exactly what you're looking to do.
I hit/swear at/sweet talk my computer all day long...
I used to do that until i started using Linux, then I could never figure out how to type those characters which kinda shot that idea down...
good while it lasted though people think you password is mostly numbers since they don't see you holding down the alt-key
the expense isn't a rip-off, its a lawyer tax... the other $610 is divided as such:
$50 - 2x$25/hour for labor
$560 - pay the company lawyers to fend off the lawsuits created when the shoddy install burns down your house
kill all the lawyers... then we'll talk

maybe peter jackson will push up filming of the hobbit. It'll be good for all involved
MSCE? all that shows is that you can point and click :-p
Who could imagine Sun and Microsoft speaking out against Linux... Just Shocking!
I don't think I want to buy software from a company that randomly loses data... oh wait I dont
wondering if anyone else is going to time expansion releases near MxO's (supposed) release in two weeks...
The battery life stems in part from the fact that it is a B/W screen. Adding the Color screen option chops that down to "a few hours"

Why not add TCP on the list, at least then microsoft can be named as the defendent... again...
I think someone did sue (and win) vs. McDonalds for making them fat...
