    Though of course there are false positives.

    When I was on vacation my credit card just stopped working. After calling the credit card company several times I got an answer: making multiple phone calls in Indiana doesn't fit my pattern! I asked him if he could tell where I was calling from. Guess what, I was in Indiana. Didn't they have a record of my gas purchases along the way too? It did finally take a few more calls but we got everything straightened out. Now, I call the credit card company before any vacation. Whee.

    Still, it's better to be over-secure than less so.

    I find that actively searching in Google News can bring you much more current results that simply looking at the front page. "Updated: 20 minutes ago" is not uncommon.

    At my school, there were a lot of Jennifers. Though not very many women in general. Here is one (lame) joke on the situation:

    "What do you call the female population of a CS class at WPI?"

    "Her name's Jen."

    Christ, dude. Learn to spell. While you're at it, learn punctuation. It's painful to read posts like this. Think of English as a programming language and take care with your syntax.

    In New Hampshire here is what happened:

    Around 1900 the state was about 10% forest. Most land was used for agriculture or logging. Gradually agriculture moved west and logging moved further west, and now it is 85% forest. The "Pemigewasset Wilderness" is a forest area between mountains where no signs of human habitation (roads, houses, etc) are allowed. It's covered with hiking trails that were logging roads or train tracks 100 years ago.
