I think if someone had a database that you type in a string of words from the song, and it immediatly looks up the lyrics for you. This service would apply to people looking for lyrics and for people who hear a song on the radio and only remember a couple of parts from it.
This just seems like Yahoo is on a trip to yet another FCC regulation debate. But starting a service like this is a good counter-action to google's successful products.
That it is. I didn't read the whole thing as the first two sentences didn't seem like a funny comment at all. Excuse me for the assumption and nasty comment.
The earth is no more than 6,000 years old? Buddy, you have a lot more information to research before you post a comment like that... The earth is billions of years old. You are WAY off.
Its not that bad. For a woman with 500 things on their keychain, this would be a great addition. For men, it would be like putting a six sided die in your pocket... Sticks out a little through your pants (unless you are wearing jeans.. they are a little more rugged) but not bad at all. It sure is better then carrying around a big fat Ipod in your pocket.
And for those who say they would lose it; if it was on your keychain, it would never be lost unless you lost your keys. If you can lose your keys, then you are bound to lose anything.
I wonder if the magnetic field of all these fans would have a negative effect on how long the computer would last and/or how fast it processes... I mean all those electromagnetic motors have to do something unstable to the computer itself.
All I am saying is I would like to see people follow their good insincts rather than just shrug it off and go with what society tends to do... Be an individual, stand up for what you believe.:)
"If I were a millionaire, I'd probably do the same thing."
And that is the reason the world does exactly what you don't want them to..
I don't understand why you would complain about something that you said you wouldn't do? Thats like complaining that chips are the most disgusting food product ever... And then eat some chips the next day.
"For one thing, how long was Firefox vulnerable vs. how long was Internet Explorer vulnerable?"
lmao How many millions of more dollars is available and spent into IE compared to Firefox... Maybe is Firefox was backed by a multi billion dollar corporation, they could have build their broswer right the first time. PLUS IE is STILL vulnerable...
They makes movies so that you can enjoy them... So that you can get into whatever the movies gives you. They try to target an audience(usually as big as possible) so they can make as much money as possible. And they do that by entertaining you...
So why do so many people go to a movie to TRY to hate it... To try to point out all the problems then go home unhappy. That isn't the point of seeing a movie! And if you enjoy doing things to be unhappy, then you need to seek counciling.
You are personally supposed to enjoy what a movie is there to give you. If you do not, then that is your personal opinion. You are welcome to it your own opinion... But why listen to other peoples opinions? Why care about what Roger says? Its just his opinion. Big deal... Go see the movie to ENJOY it. And if you don't, then you know not to see star wars again...
The point is that people don't see movies to try to enjoy them anymore. This just doesn't make sense. People should really try harder to have a better time...
I see this as a nice implementation to do for people... But the sad thing is that most desktop users don't really care about taking care of their computer. They want it to just work and don't want to bother actually trying to protect it from breaking.. PC users just don't listen, especially when they buy a computer that is working just fine... "Its working great, I don't need to change anything".. Maybe it would be a better idea to implement this idea after the consumer has spent 200 dollars to get the computer repaired AFTER they have screwed it up.
I don't see what you are saying... There is a usb cable that goes to the mouse pad that powers the pad... The pad then transfers power to the mouse through a coil and thus you have a cordless mouse.
I personally think it is cool because it is a cheap mouse without a cord... I hate batteries and weight, thus the reason I would never buy a real cordless mouse.
Looks like a white box with a couple of curves to me... Apple at least tries to put some design concepts into their equipment... The camera looks like an 80's style 5 1/4 drive or something... That is the only real ugly thing there in my opinion. The xbox just isn't innovative.:)
Thats neat. When I was researching my desktop computer I ended up finding monarch computers and bought my stuff from them. It will works great after years and their support was just fine. Everything was smooth. Of course this was only for one desktop but I thought I would comment.
I think relationships with other countries is a lot more important than giving away "secret" technologies. Maybe if the US showed more of a want to cooperate with other coutries, they would be willing to work (and not steal, if that is even true) from the US.
World relationships can save lives and make things like invading Iraq easier which saves more lives... This is, of course, after we have established healthy relationships with other countries... Which will never happen since the US likes to try to take control of any operation.
We all know microsoft can make good bugs and can't repair them. How are they supposed to make software that repairs bugs. Obviously, the program will make more bugs. Its the Microsoft way (*cough* SP2 *cough)
^_^
You can't plug a keyboard into the system and start typing code to make a bug for it... Just like there aren't bugs in Lexus's navaigation system...
They just need to use a more proprietary system.
I understand your logic on that. Speaking for 99% of the population is a little extreme.:)
I believe the 99% of the US population you are talking about doesn't really care and just wants something that is going to run. All home users buy microsoft products because that is what comes with the computer. They are too busy with their jobs and kids and drinking alcohol to have an opinion on computer products. They just buy what is available, cheap, and lets them surf the web and play solitaire.
They say not to do it in the manuals because they were selling their own cleaning solution at the time and wanted you to spend money on their product.
I used to do it all the time. Perfectly safe.

I'm in no way trying to be disrespectful.

Who the hell would want to try to be friends with humans... We kill each other for crap sakes.
"Yeah lets go to earth and make friends with them so they can judge us and make us feel terrible. Then kill us for being different...."

There probably won't be much left after it goes through our atmosphere...

Thats what I thought but wasn't 100% sure. Wanted to ask a "master" ;)
Always love to learn!
You call the lines on the board a trace. Is it correct to also call that a bus, like what you call those traces on a PC's motherboard?
They say not to do it in the manuals because they were selling their own cleaning solution at the time and wanted you to spend money on their product.

Because nerds love to overclock things. Improvement or not, ITS STILL GOING FASTER. ;)
I heard that WINE does a lot of windows program emulation... Can't really give you more insight about it but maybe someone else can.
