    A quick read of TFAs and some links within them lead me to think this is a non-story. They write that BP had blank screens and photoshopped them to be not blank, saying "Why were they blank? coffee break ?" There's a ton of reasons they could be blank. A bit stupid of BP to 'shop them though.

    Rather than using WORM (Write Once Read Many) storage perhaps Dell should invent Write Once Read Never and put 90% of their info on that. It should be cheap to produce, testing would be a doddle too :-)

    As far as I can make out the current idea of the EU is to provide a bunch of cash for all the MEPs, their flunkeys, other assorted civil "servants" and just about anyone else even vaguely connected with the whole rotten edifice.

    The EU commission (iirc) hasn't even had it books audited and correctly signed off for about 12 years.

    According to Google's page you can send to @googlemail or @gmail and either one will just work. Not that it matters particularly as most people just have their contacts as Dave, Jim, Bob etc and couldn't care two hoots about what email address actually sits behind it.

    Free as in beer is great - if I had a ton of money I'd write giveaway, open source stuff all the time as I enjoy programming. Unfortunately I ( and most other people) have to earn a crust: It's just the way of the world. I try to give as much as I can if someone has a "donate" button on their site to support the guys - everyone's gotta eat.

    EDS are regularly in a UK magazine called Private Eye - usually for being useless or money grabbing or somehow winding up with yet another Govt contract when their track record isn't that good.
