    wouldnt matter what your password is if the database holding it, is saved in plaintext or easily decryptable.

  15. it _IS_ possible that when ISP's start to charge for content, that others will use this opporunity to rebrand services which are free... as a bonus..
    For example when Comcast charges $5/mo for access to facebook, a competitor can give that access free ... hence everyone changes to that ISP cause they are now offering a better service... and on that.. that company publicly stated that service is free.. they start charging for it, then the FCC has them by the balls...

    THEN, when Trump gets kicked out.. the new president may change things back... but who knows.. i dont live in the USA.

    I have stopped using facebook, my feed is full of trump crap and hardly anything about my "friends", Facebook has just become a news portal where you can share what news you like with your friends...
    hardly see aything about my friends... and you know what after i stopped checking facebook everyday.... NOTHING changed... so not wasting my time on that platform anymore.

    I loved Firefox, but the massive memory footprint (2GB +) and constantly locking up forced me to move to Chrome.
    I loved the plugins on Firefox (Ghostery, uBlock, ForecastFox...) but the browser has become so bloated with "features" no one ever uses... people use a browser for 1 thing, the more bells and whistes turns it into a different monster, how about Mozilla, you make 2 versions, i barebones one, and a fancy one... shall see what the users decide.

    People believe peple in IT, alt hey di is browse the web and play video games... so they think we're disosable and can beused for any job...


    Main things are;
    - Laptops, PC, Phones (every brand)
    - Printers
    - Internet issues (yes with phones too)
    - Moving anything electrical; PC's, desks, pritners, microwaves, fridges....
    - fix anything hardware related; phones dead... fix it .... pritner doesnt work... open it up and fix it ...
    - Security; prevent users from doing dumb shit like open bad emails... oh wait they did, now you have to recover their encrypted data .. oh whats that no backups of PC's, they lost their data, now they complain tot heir boss you cant recover their data
    - cars; their car wont start.. oh your technical, you should know how to fix it...

    oh so much more....

    As discussed here Cyber extortion - legality of ransom payments and the approach of businesses and insurers it shows under international law, cyber extortion payments arent illegal unless they are terrorism related.

    I dont believe Coinbase should be denying access to legitimate funds, that arent terrorism related, unless they want to get regulated... this would be the first step to ruining their little monopoly.

    There are only a few large companies out there that could refuse and make it more difficult for the government.
    Giving the history with Apple refusing the decrypt data I would go with them, NSA probably wanted to tap into the iMessaging service.
