I think humanity needs to make more efficient use of electricity generated from wind, water and the sun. We could generate so much power if we built really big and efficient devices like these kites. Cool Stuff!

i say energy related in 20 - 40 years, or increase in life expectancy in 50+ years.
I think this is great for transportation in general. This is a huge step in changing the way we think about highways and freeways. We need find better ways to relieve traffic jams and one of the most obvious is more lanes.
You may say it costs more but that cost will be paid back 100-fold in terms of delivering people to their destination more quickly. People in New York, Boston, LA and other major cities usually don't think twice about driving a car to work cause there's too much traffic.
Looking to the future I think you'll see these super highways stretching across much of the country and even high into the sky. If it where over some large city they'd be really high up and there'd be offramps to today's freeways.

SETI is such an awesome project. I will put as many resources as I have toward this project.
can't wait until phone, internet and tv are all delivered on the same line(or signal). imagine the hybrid apps that will come with that.

The day will come when we'll be able to control nature and not have to worry about earthquakes, hurricanes and asteroids.
We'll be more worried about wether any neighboring galaxies are going to run into our milky way.
