    So 4 months and 3 days after the whole hardware chain is released, some clever person will find a way to get to the key (Like the DVD, yeah) and we'll be back on track. I guess some hardware manufacturers will have wasted millions with a weak protection scheme.

    Will they ever learn ?

    A lot more people will be looking at MS's code if they release it, because a lot more people use it.
    More vulnerabilities will be found, but in the end, they'll be solved.
    And hiding your code so people won't find faults is not a way to protect it.

    There's a good chance the wheel communicates through a CAN network. I think with a CAN monitoring/emitting system, you could still make it work by replicating what the wheel sends and directing that to the XBOX.

    So Blender is an IDE to a Raytracer, just like Povray ? I think you've used the wrong software. Plus the tools you mention to rotate objects are integrated, in fact I believe they've been there from the start.

    Maybe _you_ can pick up Maya and Max and start working right away, but I know I can't, even though I've tried.
    And I know I can use Blender.

    To sum it up: once again it's all down to how much time you're willing to put in learning how to use the software.

    You're the kind of person that would have said about early plots for the Lord of the Ring: "Who wants to hear about funny dwarves and walking trees fighting for a stupid ring ? I mean how deep a story can this be ? Besides, there were dwarves in that Snowwhite movie and I didn't like it."
    Give them a rest, and talk about this when they come up with a plot for the movies.

    Yea, let's only think about America. Screw them other people who live on the rest of the planet !

    I have the feeling some people won't ever learn. Something should be done to reduce energy consumption or at least try to make every machine more efficient. Finding new, sources of energy that are as dirty as gas should be at the bottom of the list.

    If you use a system that cannot allow to have leap seconds, then should use your own relative time. Then you just need to keep a correspondance between your relative time and the more common time used by everyone else.
    No big deal.

    The problem is this should have been planned before people booked their flights. Things like this should be planned at least a year in advance. I can't belive they're trying to do this now.

    I can understand why they would push for menus. They are trying to make their format a widely recognized format. How are they going to do that if companies don't want to use it because it lacks the features of the DVD format ?

    As a home video editor, I know I'm happy they included that. Now I can add menus to videos I put online. I think it's cool.

    Plus, nothing will stop you from ripping videos like you would do now off a DVD.

    WHY ARE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ????

    We're talking about the ECU that ALLOWS the engine to run. If the ECU fails, there's nothing to fall back to.
    All you can do is pray that the people who designed and TESTED it, did a good job and thought about the exact situation you are in.

    So basically, a trilogy, since it has three movies will be entitled to be expensive and will cost around 80$/.
    That's quite a lot for a single disk when you think of it.

    I hear people replying, "yeah but single movies will be cheaper !". Sure, but then why do we need bigger disks ?

    I just don't think storing several movies on a single media and selling it will work.
