Doesn't anyone else remember Star Wars Chess?

It was a battlechess-type game for DOS or early Windows, which I loved unconditionally. When one piece took another, a short cutscene portraying the characters fighting to the death played. The various animations made it all worthwile.
I especially loved R2D2 or C3PO killing the Emperor or Vader. Great stuff.
If they do release it in Canada, that'll give all of us US-based Who fans a *much* better option for buying DVDs, rather than importing R2 releases from the UK.
Damn, I wish someone would hurry up and sell us this damn thing, so I can stop stealing it.
No no no, that guy's hardcore. He beat me in "Super Vito Brothers," he owns at deathmatch in "Boom III" and he found all the hidden packages in "Grand Larceny Auto!"
Check out the whole site. There's a video of him plaing Lennon's "Imagine" facing away from the piano with arms stretched behind his back, there are mp3s of him playing more traditional fare alongside the game tunes... this guy is damn talented.
How many really talented folks are still paying out-of-pocket to put their own mp3s up while the general public is happily making the latest "Idol" drones rich?
The least we could do is throw him a few bucks to compensate for his iminent slashdotting.
David Tennant turns 34 on Monday.
When they each began playing the Doctor:
Chris Eccleston was 40,
Paul McGann was 37,
Sylvester McCoy was 44,
Colin Baker was 41,
Peter Davison was 30,
Tom Baker was 40,
Jon Pertwee was 51,
Patrick Troughton was 46,
and William Hartnell was 55.
The only way they can win with this, hoever good (stop laughing and let me be optimistic, dammit!) they make the game, is to aim it toward the 20somethings who grew up with the cartoon rather than the kids of today. Animaniacs and Pinky & The Brain have the potential to be really good games if done well, but if this is dumbed down for the kiddies it'll be miserable.
Big Finish brought him back a while ago, there are a few years' worth of quality McGann stories out there and it's still ongoing. Each one of those have better stories than the movie, and McGann has really grown in the role.
A new boom sweeps clean.

Good point, but that still won't get us a DVD release. Oh well, US-based Who fandom is used to being left in the lurch.
Look out for the women in fake beards throwing stones...

In the time it took me to watch this, I could have cast three whole summon spells in FF7.

It frightens me wondering what sort of weather report that was played over. "60% chance of random encounters, followed by light showers."
I have the urge to pat them on the shoulder and say "sorry!" in a squeaky voice.
This will be much more useful when they get around to putting on more than two or three television programs actually worth watching.
x = "space station"
I feel you did the right thing. It's worth the price of a CD at least.

Not everyone could link to videos of themselves on muchosucko or ebaumsworld with such dignity.

You can do just that here.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue the president's daughter on this, the day of my daughter's wedding?
So that's the current generation's answer to when we used to blow dust out of our NES cartridges? I approve.

Can't wait for the inevitable sequel on the making of Daikatana.
will you be able to swap in your own bitmaps in place of the actors?

Are those so-called "Suicide Girls" still around? You'd think they'd have gotten on with it already.
That's probably the best post ever in this whole sort of general mishmash of debate over this movie. If I had karma I'd mod you up.
