And what happens when ISPs start enforcing the no server clause that most of them have in their terms of service and start demanding recompense from Microsoft/Adobe/etc?
You must not have played Burnout 3 or Revenge, which have Live play but no LAN mode (at least on the original Xbox). I wouldn't be surprised if other EA games are like that. Although Timesplitters 3 has LAN play and had Live play until EA shut the server down. EA had to be stubborn assholes and use their own servers instead of Microsoft's.
And I'm assuming by "any kind of multiplayer" you mean "any kind of online multiplayer", as there are many local multiplayer only games.
That's only a subset of Warner music. It looks like they are adding more music. Specifically, they now have one Dream Theater album and some Still Remains, who are on Roadrunner (which is now under Atlantic).
Presumably, this includes music from all of these labels.
Look closer, he does mention remote access. Although that can probably be done (minus the NAT traversal) with VNC. Plus, you can use something like Hamachi to do NAT traversal if needed (although you need a client installed on all machines for that to work). Although you still don't the ability to access your computer from a browser anywhere with that.
It's less confusing than the other names they've used.
Also, why are companies still using this? Microsoft basically said "fuck you" to all content providers using Janus with the introduction of the Zune, and now it seems they're going even more to kill it.
Do they still have the 30 second skip button disabled? There's no button on the remote, but you could manually assign it to an unused button. Apparently my area was (one of) the first to get the button disabled. I don't have Comcast anymore, is the button still disabled?
...but it's too expensive for me. Since I have a portable music player that can play Janus WMAs, it would be possible for me to use subscription music on the go. Yahoo did offer such a service for $5 a month, but I don't see anything about the ability to transfer to portables anymore. I'm assuming it's either no longer offered or cost quite a bit more.
Good for checking email from two computers?

I want to be able to check my mail form my laptop and my desktop, but when one downloads messages via POP, the other can't. Gmail has the option "Enable POP for all mail", but that seems to revert to all mail since now when I check my email.
Unfortunately, I don't have the option to enable IMAP in Gmail. Will it become available to everyone?
I can see banning the use of the actual wireless communications features, but to ban the device outright even if the transmitter is turned off seems pretty stupid.
It's per-month in Canada? In the US, they make you add $20 every 90 days. Of course, I hardly use my cellphone, so I still have wasted money sitting in my account.
Or they could've struck a deal with Wayport/McDonalds, like Nintendo did for DS games. That's still going on, right? I wonder how much they'd have to pay.
I don't know, I've used Foobar's ABX test to compare a FLAC (674kbps average) to a 192kbps VBR MP3 and I matched the tracks. I could tell because the bass sounded better in one version. I was using either $20 Sony headphones or $30 Radio Shack headphones.
Of course, I only took the test once, and I'm not even sure the one I thought was FLAC was actually FLAC. And it took me a long time to decide. To me, it's not really worth the extra space to store something that is only bare discernible when you take time to compare.

Looks like they took the entire "Driver Downloads" category, the one that Ubuntu was in, down.
Also, Notice what category Download.com has Ubuntu under. BIOS & System Updates, same as the Microsoft page. So I'd wager that Microsoft was using a script to aggregate download links rather than do them by hand.
So, no joke by a Microsoft employee or anything like that.

The Wii wouldn't do much if any better. If you want to play HD H.264 on a console, get a 360. Or I think the PS3 should work as well.

They only have a few Warner artists on the site now.
And what if it's a non-profit radio station who's not making money off of playing the songs? Is it still fair that they have to pay?

Is university run dining in the Netherlands the same pseudo-monopoly ripoff it is in the United States?

Who says they are notoriously recidivist? From what I can find, they have a relatively low recidivism rate.

You can't rent PC software? The local library seems to be able to.

They only let you download it once? What if my hard drive fails and I don't have a backup? If I pay for it, I should be able to redownload it.
I say it's still a type of remix combining multiple songs. I demand Intel changes the name of whatever they're doing to something else.

But that's subscription-only. What if I want a-la-carte?
I could use the Myspace store, but those seem to be all $0.99, or worse $1.30, per track.
Or perhaps they changed DAAP so people like college students couldn't use MyTunesRedux to copy songs from iTunes shares.

And how much has Sony lost selling the PS3? I'd say much of that was to get more marketshare for Blu-Ray in general.
And if it's impossible to upgrade? Say, if you're using a device, like the Wii. I don't believe Adobe offers Flash 9 for devices yet.
