Does it keep you from spending money you don't have? I've never had a $0 balance on my account, so I'm not sure what happens when you try to spend more than you have.
At least, we can't buy legit MP3s of most of the more popular music. eMusic sells MP3s, but many of the bands are less famous, and as far as I can tell there's no way to just buy albums or tracks without a subscription. Of course, I'm not sure how much selling MP3s would reduce piracy. And I don't consider allofmp3 "legit" even if it's legal. (Is it legal?)
It doesn't say it was because of the possible overheating problems, though. I'd guess it's about other PS3 worries. Say, the ammount of money they're losing on each console, or fears of low sales?
...But that didn't deter the River Dell Middle School students.
"They don't know we put up a new one" using a shared account, said Catherine, 13, of Oradell, N.J.
Somehow, I think their parents might find out now. How many eigth graders named Catherine could go to that school?
Walmart seems to be doing pretty well against Aldi in America.;) BTW, never buy a television from Aldi. It was some weird German brand that stopped working right rather quickly and works with no universal remote controls.
Sony has said the PS3 runs Linux, but I haven't heard about anyone using it. Nor do I see an option to launch Linux in any of the videos or pictures of the interface. Is it still in?
Go to On Demand. Does it say "One Moment Please..." or "Welcome to On Demand"? I hear the update that disables 30 second skip changes the text to the latter message. (I wouldn't know, my area didn't have On Demand until after the update.) I'm guessing it will be disabled some time.
Doesn't work anymore with the 6412, they disabled it with a firmware/software update. Those bastards. Your's will probably be disabled soon with a software update.
Yesterday and today's announcements make me want the Wii less and less. I thought they would be including Opera for "free". Hopefully it's at least cheap.
Let's say I bought access to a pre-1900 article, which is in the public domain. Could I then legally repost that for free? The Washington Post says "Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner. Further reproduction or distribution is prohibited without permission.", but are they lying?
Actually, thumbnails of open document files show up like previews of images here. Same with some powerpoint files. I'm guessing that's installed with OpenOffice, though.
What do you mean using the file on an unsupported platform doesn't require breaking DRM? Let me guess, you're going to say burning and re-reripping? Why should people have to do that?
It is censorship; I don't see why you're surprised it's being labeled as such. The question is if it's justified or not. The law sounds pretty good to me, but I think a website being accountable for the laws in any country that can access it is pretty silly.

They had a few download links for a day or so as well. I do know the program works. I wonder how long it will be until Microsoft fixes it? More importantly, can they make it stop working without making people install an update?

Ah, but does Canada tax losses? I'd have more of those.

Thank you, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that.
I found one. The original Xbox with Xbox Media Center.

I've bought a few CDs for $10 or less at concerts. Plus, there are sales.

It does work on Janus files (for now), but you need to be able to play the file on the computer you run it on.

But will they sell you a computer without OSX?

Won't means will not. I believe the correct word in this case is wouldn't.
Indeed, I've never understood why they ask you for something in the phone menus only to have the person who picks up ask you for it again.
Otherwise they might end making and distributing a bunch of them only to leave kids and teachers wondering exactly how they're supposed to use them.
I don't know how to pronounce the "company that makes nitrous". Is it like how you pronounce nos in Spanish?
And what happens if the user fakes what the other person said? Or does MSN messenger keep logs on the server of all open conversations?
