Well, it's probably in comparison to other flash video sites. Well, it would be, except this is better. When trying to switch to their "full screen" version, it warns me that I don't have an 850 kbps connection. (I was using download gandwidth elsewhere.) By the way, the "fullscreen" option just makes the video a bit bigger, and presumably higher quality. This isn't even like Google Video's "fullscreen" option, which stretches to window size. The size is fixed either way. That's the thing I hate about flash videos, when they're embedded in a browser at least: the inability to truely make the video fullscreen. I have the same complaint about Quicktime.
Since this was on CSpan/from a Government thing, is it in the public domain? It would've been nice if they uploaded it to Google video instead, since Google actually lets you download the original files.
I sure hope you're being sarcastic. Otherwise, if you're really not paying taxes, and living in the USA, expect a knock on your door from a not-so-friendly IRS agent soon.
And Google could pay Dell, HP, etc to make themselves the default search engine. It wouldn't matter much anyhow, as MSN is the default IE search engine now and people still use Google. Although, can the default search engine in IE7 be changed with just a link? Or do you have to install something, which might require higher privileges?
They gain more from making Google the default search engine than Microsoft making MSN the "default search engine in IE. At least, I assume so. Microsoft has many other ways of making money. The Mozilla Corporation makes a majority of it's money from Google.
This is all assuming Google pays them the most. Does Yahoo pay them for every search performed from the search bar in Firefox? Does it pay them as much?
I just searched, seems you can leave the;greasemonkey off the end of the path, and Opera will load.user.js files as greasemonkey and other.js files as Opera User JS.
You can use Greasemonkey scripts in Opera. Under preferences, advanced, content, javascript options. You tell it the folder you have the scripts in, and put;greasemonkey after it. Actually, Opera has it's own "User JS" thing. I'm not sure if you can mix those with greasemonkey scripts or not.
This and the linked next article talk about Opera equivalents to extensions.
Let's say you want to put Windows on it, and that the computer comes with Windows pre-installed. Many times, you'd have to buy another copy in order to get a reinstall without all the crap. Or is there an easy way to extract only the windows installation from the disc?
I've been wanting them to give that an actual name. The "New Super Mario Bros. Movie Revealed" email they sent out made me hate the name more. Now I see why they didn't change it. Nintendo needs to hire people who are good at coming up with names. Perhaps the "Wii" name came from the same people who made the clean is better than dirty commercial for Nintendo?
I've gotten more back for a book than I'd payed for it at least once. It was one I bought used off Amazon, I believe. I did that with some crappy Xbox game as well, payed $5 and got $10 or so for selling it used, plus I used it in some deal they had.
Isn't that pretty much like going to a local video rental store? Which are pretty much all over rather than in 10 cities? And, depending on how long you keep them, it might be cheaper to go to a Blockbuster or whatever. Plus, it looks more like you request the movie on the machine. It doesn't say anything about choosing titles over the net, nor does it really seem necessary.
It seems quite a bit different to me. The memory expansion was, I believe, around $20 seperate or included with DK64. While this would require buying a whole new system. A side note, why didn't Nintendo put 8 MB of RAM into the DS if they ran into the 4 MB limit on the N64?
Apparently because they knew G4 wasn't as good, and wanted to kill off the competition. It's too bad they couldn't have just made their network better.
Non-admin users on XP can install device drivers?
Anyway, "Note: Even users with administrator privileges cannot load unsigned kernel-mode code on x64-based systems. This applies for any software module that loads in kernel mode, including device drivers, filter drivers, and kernel services."
What mode does, say, a network driver run in?
Also looks like in order to play DRM'd stuff, you'll need a signed driver.
Does Walmart have any influence over the Halo, GTA, Zelda, and Mario games? If other stores would carry those games, I'd imagine Walmart would no matter if the publishers listened to them or not. Now, with GTA getting an AO rating, they had trouble with more stores than Walmart.
Couldn't most of the complaints against WalMart in the article also apply to other stores that sell games? I'm pretty sure most don't want to sell games ith nudity. And all of them only want to carry games that will actually make them a profit. Another problem with the article, "Game publishers are working hard to create online services that trump Wal-Mart the way iTunes has trumped the music cartels."
iTunes has not trumped the music cartels.
I don't shop at Walmart because I shop at Meijer. Is that any better? It seems like they've supplanted Walmart around here. There are surely more Meijers than Walmarts, I'd think. Although, I don't buy many games there since they don't have a good selection and they get them two or three weeks after they're released. Maybe if they have their 15% off non-groceries, or buy one game get one half off sales they have every so often.
Well, you could always use Opera and Zoom. ;) But that seems to be too resource intensive for me.

Probably before Linux gets shockwave. Which looks like it's never. :(

This is the company who brought you this. Which is too bad, since I think the name sounds stupid. I'll probably get one anyway though.
I never knew about this. If I have a processor with this bug, can I still get it replaced? ;)
What version of Java are you using?
Perhaps they moved that to Halo 3? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't see that option in the GUI of Adblock Plus. I see adblock.hide, adblock.hideenabled, and adblock.hideglobal through.
And 24 bathrooms? Why? Possibly it could be useful for situations such as this, but it seems a bit odd.
