I discovered this exact same thing 2 days ago...I accidently broke a whole mess of IE users pages and since I use Firefox I had no idea...just glad I caught it in time.
Yes it did...I typed out a long one too...maybe it just wasn't as interesting as this one is.;)
Now to the topic at hand...
I've been looking for something like this for a while, as a web developer with lots of friends who are the same, I find myself surrounded by these "IE Only" pages and it drives me insane. But then again I only use firefox for my browsing so I guess I have a built in testbed for functionality. Last I checked there was a W3 code checker for websites to ensure they're up to the standards they should be.
Does anyone else think this would require significantly more bandwidth than is currently available? I mean, every show on every channel? Unless they have like 20 channels there...
To be fair, there is a dialog box warning you that said network is insecure...which is obviously going to stop "Joe-Linksys" from accidently connecting to his neighbors WAN instead of his own.;)
Sounds to me like a standard issue case of some locals not knowing what they're talking about...for all they know the only use of these things is to infiltrate other peoples networks. I think there are some "Higher-Ups" who could clear this up for them.
How great and modular these systems are...I've done "Linux mods" on everything I could from X-Boxen to PDA's and they always turn out for the better. I have to wonder why, besides the obvious pressure from microsoft to be "standard", more companies haven't switched to linux for mobile and embedded systems. I mean besides the obvious legal juggernaut SCO leaning over their shoulders.;)
You have to take into account quite a few things...benchmark-wise a 3700 will perform as well as a 3.7ghz P$ with HT (As the name insinuates) but you can easily OC it to 25% to 50% depending on the cooling, which makes it an EXTREMELY fast processor faster than anything else stock on the market. There's also the onboard memory controller which I've found has dropped my latency to extreme levels (35ns latency, 3158MB write speed, 7600MB read speed) but then again I use OCZ VX (Which perform HORRIBLY on P4's). Honestly I would take a 3000+ Venice any day or a 4ghz P4 because of the overclocking potential. Hell I've been running my 3000+ winchester @ 2.5ghz for months now without even a hiccup. Plus you can practically steal a PCIE motherboard for an Athlon64 system now and the processors are also a lot cheaper.
My MPIO already fits in my change pocket and performs all the functions I need it to, I'd be more interested in a player that was this size and packed a lot more meory. A matchbook sized player with 6gb of memory would hold all of my songs and I wouldn't be so prone to lose it.;)
I don't believe I mentioned marriage at all in any of my posts...and I think I explained 20 minutes ago that he's in Jail and she's hopelessly addicted to meth. So there's no family interaction going on.
My sister hasn't attended thanksgiving since she got hooked on meth 2 years ago, but I'm sure thanksgiving would be better with her there even if she brought her horrible boyfriend and his family.
I can't help but wonder how he got approval for a project like this...I mean on paper it sounds kind of silly.
"Project Goal: To gather cell phone usage data over a 9 month period in order to accurately predict the future actions of the projects participants"
I mean, as neat as these results may be, it must have been a hard sell at first.
Do yourself a favor and cruise on over to newegg...
Pick up a good MSI or Asus Athlon64 Motherboard based on the NF4 Ultra chipset (Or DFI if you OC)
Get yourself a 3000+ Venice or 3700+ San Diego (1mb L2, Don't get the 3800+ Venice) because for the money they just can't be beat. The 3200 Venice is also a good value and both can be OCed to 2.7 to 2.9ghz respectively depending on how good of a chip you get. Grab a 120mm Zalman CPU fan and you've got yourself a cool running easily overclocked extremely fast new setup. I have an old winchester 3000+ running @ 2.5ghz with a 30c idle temp and I score about the same as fx-53's in benchmarks. AMD is the best at the moment...wait until Intel get's pushed against a wall and lowers their prices or improves their processors before buying more of their processors.
I completely agree...my sister's boyfriend is in jail for 10 years because he got caught with some marijuana...meanwhile his cousin got like 4 years for hitting some guy drunk and killing him. Seems a little off.
Free as in Liquor doesn't sound as good but has the same meaning I suppose.
Now for that open sourced vodka...or wait...isn't that just potatoes or something?
I enjoyed UT2004 on my gentoo box. I also played couterstrike under Winex and a few other games with linux support. There are more than you'd think...they just don't advertise a lot.;)
"The Canadians crossed a minefield laid for tanks; the soldiers weren't heavy enough to detonate the bombs. At 11:30 that night, he was machine-gunned, taking six hits: one that took off his middle right finger (he managed to hide the missing finger on the screen), four in his leg and one in the chest. Fortunately the chest bullet was stopped by his silver cigarette case."
WOW! I'm impressed...all the articles mentioned that he got his finger shot off but I didn't know he took 6 machine gun rounds. Thank god for his cigarette case!
A bit unfair on the moderation guys...I was on topic, I just decided to put the important stuff before the article comment. I have to wonder if you guys just moderate based on the first part of a post, or if you actually read the whole thing. I know when I get mod points I carefully read the parent and grandparent, then examine the post itself for a good minute or two before making a decision.
Flamebait indeed for the way it's phrased, although he makes a valid point on some levels. While the child will obviously grow up without a father, I'm sure he made provisions for his financial future. Personally I haven't spoken to my father in around 3 years and I'm all the more happy for it. Really it's a point of view thing most of all.
There are 2 versions of the mod...one with the clothes on which can be modded into a current game, and the other with the clothes off which can only be used when starting a new game.

I have over 200 channels here...that's a LOT of VCR's...

Fantastic point...I was drifting into my dream world again where management knew more than the employees...

He was a pot dealer ;) obviously you're correct in saying 10 years isn't just for posession.

They clocked up a 770 model Pentium M and it outperformed an extreme edition at lower temps. http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20050525/index.htm l
tfa if anyone is interested :)
I suppose they were too good to just grab one from a retail place and see what us commoners would get ;)

But will he send it to me free like a Ubuntu CD?
