340A.503 PERSONS UNDER 21; ILLEGAL ACTS. Subd. 3. Possession. It is unlawful for a person under the age of 21 years to possess any alcoholic beverage with the intent to consume it at a place other than the household of the person's parent or guardian. Possession at a place other than the household of the parent or guardian creates a rebuttable presumption of intent to consume it at a place other than the household of the parent or guardian. This presumption may be rebutted by a preponderance of the evidence.
But what happens when the media industry groups start applying pressure on politicians to get the law enforced? A statement by the RCMP doesn't have the force of law -- They could go back on that at any time.
Yep. I've used Photoshop for many years (paid for it, too, in case you're wondering). Every time I try Gimp, I want to put my head through the monitor.
I have the Blockbuster service, and a store is within walking distance. The reason I switched from Netflix is that once I watch one of the mailed DVDs, I can return it to the store for a free rental. With a little foresight (don't drop the DVDs in the mail), I can watch something on the spur of the moment.
When I want my men to remember something important, to really make it stick, I give it to them double dirty. It may not sound nice to some bunch of little old ladies at an afternoon tea party, but it helps my soldiers to remember. You can't run an army without profanity; and it has to be eloquent profanity.... Sometimes I just, by God, get carried away with my own eloquence. (The Unknown Patton, by Charles M. Province, CMP Productions, 1998)
Well, I didn't make any claims about their actual behavior, just what I try to teach them. I think your experience is fairly close to my own. Of all the things to worry about - it's fairly low on my priority scale.
Seriously, I have children, and I don't really mind if they say 'fuck', or whatever. The words themselves aren't evil. I do try to teach them that there is a time and a place for it, and that they have to use good judgement about how using vulgar language affects other people's perception of them. That, to me, is the main issue with so-called profanity.
And yes, I understand that the younger they are, the harder it is for them to make those distinctions. I do deal with my 8yo differently than I do my 16yo. But the underlying principles remain the same.
Considering typical bureaucratic behavior, they probably sat in a warehouse while different administrators argued over how to deploy them, until they were forgotten and obsolete.
I actually wouldn't mind. I'd love to run OSX, but don't want to spend ~ $2k on apple h/w when I know it will run on the hardware I have now.
It's still there in the history, and publicly available. Others have pointed out that truth may or may not be a relevant factor in the case.
Why fix the software when you can litigate the competition out of business?
It's not even a rumor, it's somebody saying "Hey, wouldn't this be coooool!"
Well, snacks, anyway.
From the Minnesota State Legislature:
340A.503 PERSONS UNDER 21; ILLEGAL ACTS.

Which leads inevitably to Rule 34. Don't say you weren't warned.

... or a strong Brownian motion generator.
I'll get one when it can print "Tea, Earl Gray, hot."

I want a Tom Servo to turn my tuning pegs.
That would be fricken' awesome.
He could comment on my playing, as well.
I thought the Rotovator was one of the weapons from the Ratchet & Clank games.

Is this what he spends his 20% time on?

Yes, but the recordings STAY in Vegas.

But what if the teacher really deserves it?
