Why does it matter? If Apple is doing something wrong, then they should be called on it.
In an ideal world we would force everyone to own up to their actions. Unfortunately the world isn't ideal, and we (society) can only push companies who care about their image to action.
A deficit occurs when the entity spends more money than it earns. Debt, is the accumulation of deficits, the government can have money in = out, and still have debt from the past.
Ars Technica's article is from last year while Green Peace's report is dated Dec 2008. While AT's complaints may still be valid, at the very least the summary should not imply (as it currently does) it deals with the current report.
To make an accurate judgment, we really need to see the test, questions about economics for example can be largely opinion/philosophy based rather than factual. Though failing to correctly answer opponents in WWII is either blatant stupidity, or willful ignorance, a child raised by wolves could answer that 2 days after being 'rescued'.
Its also important to consider who might consider themselves elected officials. For example doesn't the US also elect local sheriffs?
You know, if he didn't erase those MP3 players he was stealing songs, wru RIAA?

With a number of well known brands closing their DRM servers (Walmart, Yahoo!), it ought to be legal to remove the DRM from the audio tracks which they sold. (Really, it ought to be mandatory for the company to do it.)
I don't know about you, but if I use Google to search for a product, virtually all the results are "shopping" sites which simply link to other stores selling the item.
Its getting to the point where it isn't possible to find reviews for many types of products, with the exception of CNet / Epinions, which in many cases don't even have a review, just a description!
I think the intent of the commercial is to poke fun at the Mac ads.
Commercials from both campaigns don't have a 'point', and involve a 'trendy' person having a bizarre conversation.
I imagine they're also hoping to capture Gates as being likable. (I seem to recall previously reading that audiences often preferred the MS guy in the Mac adverts.)
I imagine people who bought the HD-DVD players are none too pleased. I wonder if they would have any recourse in a situation where the manufacturer was paid to pull out.
Thats not really a good analogy.
The real question is where does it end? Would we need another 5$ each for Books, Movies, Encyclopedias, Software, etc. Before you know it we're paying $100 a month for Internet access.
If you scroll to the bottom the authors are from AdaCore. Its rather amusing really, if you take a look at any job board you'll find thousands requiring Java, yet you could count the number Ada positions on one hand, and the number of Lisp positions with the other.
I'm not sure how you'd classify anything Valve has done as a 'massive online game', additionally they've historically (just like all other PC FPS games) relied on their user base to host servers.

Yes, but would you expect them to extensive knowledge about economics, etc.? They might, but it isn't required.
Question-33 seems to not have a valid answer. I believe they want (a) but it ought to say deficit, not debt.

Respond telling them you'd be happy to help, but first you need $X so you can retrieve the money from a your broker? :)
Of course, Skynet needs more human slaves, at least until it can design a good killer cyborg!
On one episode of TWiT, Kevin Mitnick had done the same but the government decided they needed to check for cocaine, by drilling open a hard drive...

I imagine its just a poor translation, I mean its not like they said all your base...
90% of Roadrunner CPU time is reserved for the military as I recall.

I wonder if they have any pointers, I fail at CAPTCHAs all the time.
Maybe you could make the argument that they shouldn't be spoofing user agents, or follow robots.txt (Through which you might be revoking permission!)
I find when I write on tape it wears off rather quickly.
All genders? There's more than two?
