A big difference for music & video is that new content is available and you won't necessarily be interested in listening to the old stuff. That is a big distinction between content & applications like office where the old software is probably good enough for a decade.
I'm thinking they want to avoid users re-downloading the title a few times, with the size of modern titles it can't be inexpensive when someone re-downloads the same title a few times over the life of the console.
Yea, San Francisco isn't alone here. In Canada most people can't afford a house in Vancouver or Toronto, neither of which are related to tech startups. Heck, people with disposable income are what support all the quaint places that make living in these places desirable.
If they stopped trolling they might have time to write the software they want that doesn't use systemd. Of course they don't want to do actual work, they want someone else to do it for them.

And what does copyright have to do with distributing code under its license?
Not really, the owner distributed under an open source license.
They're a messaging application and have been around 5-6 years. Recall that trademark owners are required to protect their trademark.

I largely agree, but there are sometimes laws enacted based on FUD, or just weird ones - http://www.uscollegesearch.org...
When I was in Sweden a few years ago my friends apartment had a similar albeit larger version of that setup. Seemed fine to me.
I well understand mario, I own the WiiU... But look at the games that have any success on mobile devices, all free to play and short level durations.
They've been producing devices with screens for kids for decades. Maybe your kid was just too young or didn't have enough respect?
There is no evidence that people are willing to drop $50+ on an Apple game.
I'd rather not futz around keeping my remote charged on a daily basis then need to look at it instead of using it by feel.

Least Interesting Man in the World
Macs have multi monitor support since 30 years ... never saw a Mac which had not. Perhaps a Mac Plus had not?
It still seemed pretty terrible until recently, at least I never saw someone just plug in a projector to a mac and have it actually work
Its seems fine now, but more recent than 10-years ago it definitely still had issues.
Is Edge really still tied to the Windows build?
Don't look at me, they're the ones claiming millions of apps.
Basically what AC said, they're bragging about access to the Google Play store & millions of apps, but with an API that old its pretty hard to see it.
Yea, I was pretty surprised that at this price it wasn't even a colour e-ink.
Seems like it would always be illegal in 2-party states (as people around you aren't consenting) or if the user isn't told about it.
I think its more than that, much like Home Depot they're hiring people who are not qualified to manage IT security and infrastructure.
Its hard to see the change with your head stuck in the sand.
Presumably the persistent compromise would affect any logged in user.
