I will admit that a first glance DNS is a real PITA, but a little persistance like with most things and you'll come out smelling of roses. Watching the first AXFR is quite something.
I thought about doing Secure DNS but seems highly irrelevant on a private home network.
at the end of the day, it is lazyness, lack of understanding the Whole PictureTM and the old mantra of "Why change what works already".
Burns: This is a thousand monkeys working at a thousand typewriters. Soon, they'll have written the greatest novel known to mankind. (reads one of the typewriters) "It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times"?! you stupid monkey! (monkey screeches)
Netscape still has an after-life in the form of Mozilla, which if above does become true, maybe Mozilla could take a name change and become Netscape once again.
All this technology is wrapped in some of the most revolutionary eyewear sculpture on the planet. Oakley XYZ Optics® gives you virtually distortion-free vision, even at the sides of raked-back lens contours. Plutonite® lens material blocks 100% of all UV, and Iridium® lens coatings optimize vision in any light. When it comes to impact resistance OAKLEY THUMP exceeds ANSI Industrial Standards. Models are available with premium Oakley polarization for glare filtering without the haze and distortion of conventional polarized lenses.
It has the solid NT kernel without all the extra cruft of XP
A liitle bit of web earching via google or yahoo maybe msn would reveal that 2k3 could infact be just like XP, only better thanks to the defaults that should of been included with The original XP.
but I use Opera as IE needs lots of locking down
although I agree IE6 is bad but the "locked down" version is actually quite good if just a wee bit of a skeptic.
Oh, and MS OSs are finally remotely administrable
so is 2k, even a newb that bought a dell back in 99/00 could do just that, only the 2k3 improved it significantly. A newb that bought a HP could do it today.
[ps. sorry about the last pun, had way too much fun & drink:( ]
Well, that is kinda no suprise considering, but penultimately markets that have only a single solution, just stagnates, much like Adobes Photoshop & Illustrator, Microsofts Office, Discreets --now Autodesks-- 3D Studio Max to name a few.
I actually purchased an original Xbox and thing died after 6 days.. can never forget the green & red flashing:( and the fact I never saved my game of halo. This was two years ago to the date conicidently.
Anyway, with that in mind, and already owning a PS2 since the silver one was released on October 3rd 2003 --forget about the rootkit biz-- I am quite diappointed in all but two of Sony's products, minidisc being one and an old VCR. Sony always seem to be missing something and charge an extra 5% --give or take-- brand tax on anything that says "Sony".
I purely do not like Microsoft I admit, but the Xbox when I had it was GOOD and I loved that menu system it had. This generation of games consoles M$ will have my £££ also very likely Nintendo will too have some of my £££.
Either way, I am waiting atleast two years before buying another console.
Unplug the RJ45 and alwayss wear a condom.

Obviously we geeks really want to know is, how many "F" & "S" profanity words there are, amongst other useful and descriptive comments.
Really should of been Googles tag-line, not Hitachis.. did anyone notice the BETA word on the page? (next to the Rhapsody logo)

Still, I am just thinking aloud.
Surprisingly... they tasted just like Chicken too (or KFC, maybe)
So fed-up with tired old re-makes/re-releases of old classics.
A webcam is such a cheap investment.
now, why is that precisely 3.5 days ago, I built 3.4.2 from ports? oh well, back to portupgrade for me :(

Are you suggesting that the beloved Linux is proprietary?
Shame on you.

I live in a basement, not under a rock.
Who needs free-software, when we have Microsoft.
Really, I do get a great birthday present here! thanks!!
Paper CPU's.. well, not from Intel even if they might do things like: travel bags, luggage, school bags, back packs, beach bags, duffel bags, fanny packs and umbrellas. Also for t-shirts, beachwear, cardigans, infant rompers, suits, scarves and neckties. And mugs, and sports bottles as well as stuffed toys, plush toys, dolls, bean bags, games, and Christmas tree ornaments. Oh, and keyrings.
I wince at the thought. The sick f*ck(s) deserves a pat on the back and a six-pack at least. Oh and a pay raise.
I second that; slow and reliable.. there is a market here.
Really, all this "G" business.. next up, G-Unit.. oh, wait..
Heh.. kinda glad i'll be waiting another couple of years, or atleast a couple of revsions. gee it sucks, so glad I wasn't waiting in a queue for this.
Worst Xmas present, ever? LOL.
So if Dell are going to be using AMD chips and stuff, does that mean each one of us geeks can get a girlfriend/boyfriend??????
really, i'd like to know..
