Actually, I think they already have refurbished ones up on their website. Yep, go to the Apple store, go to the bottom on the right hand side for "Looking for a Great Deal" with the Red tag. Get a refurb.
Um, not really. See, do you remember what happened to OS2. In that it ran Windows Apps so well, that no one programmed for OS2, only for Windows. Why support two versions when you can support just one and it will run on both. This will assentually make development for OS X dead. And would eventually kill the Mac OS. So Apple will probably just go with virtual pcs, and not the running of apps right on OS X.
Because you don't have the right to tell others what they can an can not do. As long as they are not hurting someone else, everyone should be able to go about their business. Its peoples right to privacy in how they find porn, via using google or MS search is what is at steak here, not the children. The conservitive right, I think, is what is pushing this DoJ to do this in hoping to get what you want, porn off the internet. But let me tell you this, if it wasn't for porn, there would be a lot of technology that might not have taken off. DVD, internet streaming of video, probably all would have died and be forgotten. Now if this is a funny rant, you got me, but I really think you mean what you say.
Its not that we are bad engineers, but more of we are helping them survive instead of letting natural selection work its thing and letting these none up-to-date people just get lost. Otherwise, we will be supporting these types of people for life rather than making them adapt.
What makes you think the IT staff knew that people were doing this, or that it was allowed to begin with. Most IT people I know have a rule that nothing gets installed without prier approval from IT, but the users don't ever follow it. Even if I was to send out a memo that said Google Desktop was not to be install, people would do it anyways, and some of these people are CEOs and Managers that wont be fired because of this. And after I uninstall it, they will just install it again. Then I go and remove admin privilages from their user name and they will complain that some software they use day to day doesn't work and I'll have to reinstate them or loose my job. Which brings back Google Desktop to their computer. People don't listen to us half the time, they only call IT when they need something fixed, not when we try to help out before something hits the fan. So why is this my fault and not Google's for sending information back to their servers about what people do with their products? If MS was doing this everyone would be screaming and yelling, including you.
Who said that Apple can't run on two chips. Yeah, might make it a little difficult for developers. But if the science app that needs good old high power PPC type chip, what keeps Apple from making something that fits the bill. OS X is already on both, all they need to do is make sure they produce at PPC computer and let the App makers make their program for the one they prefer or for both.
The lawyer gets someone to sue, tries to get a class action law suite so the stakes are higher on the pay out. Then if they win, they get a whole lot of cash out of the settlement, while everyone that was represented gets 1 cent for their troubles. This is really getting out of hand these class action law suits. Lawyers are willing to draw up anything to try and make a few million quickly.
It just makes you wonder if their new programming process MS has is better or worst than what it was before, and how it is letting these bugs get though. Was the product really not finished, yes I know its beta but most betas are at least close enough to finish that the programmers are looking for the obscure bugs, not ones that are just flat out sitting in the open like they are with IE 7. Is it the Alpha stage just slapped with a beta name so people will stop hounding them for IE 7.
The people that are going to be getting Vista are only people that are getting new hardware. Otherwise, there is no need to upgrade, dispite this service pack, there is just no need. MS knows this, so they will keep adding updates, and maybe do stuff that just keeps people on Windows and not moving to something else when they do trade in their old hardware.
I also though that Vista was suppose to ship after this service pack? Or did they change this.
$79 retail for iLife, which I'm sure is not this does not cover its development cost, but more of an upgrade cost since the only time you will need to purchase this is when you upgrade since it comes default on new Macs. The OS again is $149 I think, which again, is selling it below what its worth to people that want to upgrade. And iWorks is a 30 day demo on new Macs, and is probably really worth the $79 its sold for since it lacks a few features, but has more artistic stile to it. All in all, I would say they make probably only a $100 or so on every Mac, which would be more than what Dell makes on every computer they sell.
So Linux doesn't? I mean, it runs on more hardware, PPC, SPARC, blah blah put your chip in here. Linux also has multiple languages and lots of programs that need to share the same libraries. Sure you are more likely to have something break in Linux after a patch, but usually a few hours or a day later you have a patch for the program that got broken so it works properly again, although I haven't had a program break due to a security patch yet on Linux but I have on MS. And Linux vendors have their patches out quicker than MS. So, again, why does MS take so long?
Well damn, I'll have to tell my CEO and his top execs that his Treo 650 has to go, because it has a camera in it. No more email on the road for him, or his execs.
The Camera Phone, they must all be disallowed in the work place. That is going to be difficult, since most phones have a camera, and people are going to want them in case the kids get sick.
Catholic: Who do you confess your sins to?
Baptist: God. So, who do you confess your sins to?
Catholic: A priest.
Baptist: I heard about that, who does the priest confess his sins to?
Catholic: A bishop.
Baptist: Who does the bishop confess his sins to?
Catholic: A cardinal.
Baptist: Who does the cardinal confess his sins to?
Catholic: The Pope.
Baptist: Okay, who does the Pope confess his sins to?
Catholic: God.
Baptist: Oh, so the Pope is a Baptist!

Nope, you should hear some of the rants that religious people do. I never know if its a joke or real with them.

Curse you and your inevitable betrayal!

Nope. You would be BIZZARO!-Gates.
You must have been here before.
So where can I pick up my pig?
Or it will be like Jerry Springer, but he will be the cross dresseer.
Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're going to get. However your life is more like a box of ACTIVE HAND GRENADES!
Who cares, you work everyday, even weekends since that is when you can fixed the most stuff without knocking everyone off the network.

The iDisk alone, with one gig of space is worth $100 a year. To keep documents on both computer by just putting a document in it, is worth it.

Um, no. They said to download and notify before installing. MS just went right ahead and installed and rebooted the computer for them. http://www.emailbattles.com/archive/battles/vuln_a acfhddccc_de/
Don't you mean view porn and download porn at the same time?

Well, the joke is that the Pope is a Baptist:
