...that it is not too hard to understand the current Wikipedia articles. But I'm sort of science minded.
However, we could do with putting it into simple terms, for those not science-minded. Then, we could have a section in Wikipedia of each article making sense to science minds.
What if you could integrate a speech-to-text (a decent one) into a cell phone---using a speakerphone.
Better yet, why don't we just program cars to drive themselves.
if you think about it, the $10 will come back to you. UPS gets $10 and keeps it as profit, etc. The gov't will use the $10 to
a) Fund the War of Terror
or
b) Pave interstates or something like that.
Those of us who think there is room in the world for both Windows, OSX and Linux...
Think about it this way-- let's say (hypothetically, of course) Linux becomes the main OS, and OSX and Windows are pushed to the sidelines as much as Linux and OSX are today.
Where do you think the all the viruses, etc would be targeted? Linux.
[of course, since osx is unix based, the viruses might also work on macs too.. i don't know enough about that though]
people need to watch what they do. some websites (including/.'s comment system) will not let you delete what you put. people have the right to free speech. they should not have it taken away. however, people need to realize that their words may come back to haunt them in the future. so they shouldn't comment anything that they might regret later. or they could just post anonymously (when possible). most employers hire companies which probably look up myspace, google, etc to find as much dirt on you as possible.

seeing as how most of the people in canada live near the u.s. border (or, at least that's what history teachers say), they can just go to the u.s., buy an ipod, and come back.
i live in SC, where for the longest time, tattoos were illegal. there were a thousand tattoo parlors just across the border. (also, we're one of the few states that allows fireworks.. same thing)
i have a video ipod, and i love it, but i always thought that it would be really cool if you could put the 2g (4 buttons and a wheel) interface with video. i miss that. alexultima
