All I have to say to microsoft is good luck.

    why?

Because as long as it's there there'll be a way around it.

Who the hell wants the extra features anyway? especially if you're a gamer..

Well that's all well and good, but what about the rootkit? You can't remove it very easily without screwing windows up. And THEY have not done anything as of yet to take it off.. just the cloaking portion which, in by no means really helps those whose information is still being tracked by this rootkit..

With increased knowledge comes better understanding thus making advances in such fields quicker and easier.
If this field were to expand and grow, within time there would be banks and banks of customized dna. If a certain scientist wanted to create a more complex organism, all he/she would have to do would be to select certain compatable dna sequences. Kind of like programing when you think about it.

With the right equipment, I'm sure it wouldn't be a bad idea, and if someone could get ahold of it, I'm sure they'd want to hack one out first before the corporations got ahold of the idea.. Just a thought on how you could seriously cool your computer.

  24. YES!! I own a computer business on What Do You Charge for Tech Support? · · Score: 1

As I am only in Highschool, the business I have set up is not very stellar, and I do not intend it to last past this year when I go to colledge.
Now my friend and I started this company not to long ago after I had already worked on my relatives' computers and various neighbors who are good friends of mine.
Our main goal when starting it was to do us a favor as well as the customer and give them a fair deal at about 1/3 what most computer repair companies were haveing people pay (ours is 35 in "shop" and 45 for in home. I do feel bad sometimes when I am finished, but I realize that while to me it looks as if I am just robbing them, many see it as a good service. The neighbors who I have always helped out, computer wise, feel greatful and indebted to me. This gratitude has shown itself in multiple ways.. everything from the willingness to getting me into a private college to learning how to shoot a firearm (my favorite).
So, all in all, it is good to charge those who contact you business wise, but if it is a friend or family memeber, it is good to gain the gratitude than the grit.

  25. Re:How is this legal? on Human Animal Hybrid Created in Lab · · Score: 1

I must agree with 1u3hr in saying that, yes, a mouse with a human brain is not even the right term for it. The mouse would have human brain cells, and possibly a peice of the human brain, but unless the scientist doing such an act has found some way to magically shrink the whole process, the mouse will not have everything that it would need to even come close to becomeing human. Our brains are complex, mice on the other hand in comparison, are not. It will be interesting to see what happens, but as I said, unless the scientist finds some way to make a smaller copy of the human brain, there really shouldn't be anything to worry about. Now if the process were reversed, i.e. human with mouse characterists, then I'll agree with the lot of you in saying that there may be issues with such experimentation.
