  1. Lunar hoax on Walk on the Moon in IMAX 3D · · Score: 1
Some of the examples of the lunar hoax theory include that some things appear too close, or appear too far, or appear flat. Viewing this in 3D would fix that, I'd think.

    Just my 2 cents

  2. Joke on Automated Pool System Saves Swimmer · · Score: 2, Insightful
This reminds me of a joke about a education school system:

This guy describes to the school administrator about a complex method of educating students, but it seems like a good idea to get students to learn.

But, the Administrator looked at the price tag, and asked, is it really worth it, to spend all this money for education?

And the guy replied: "If it was MY child, yes!"

This shows that some things, no matter the price tag, can be justified to save a life or the education system.

  3. I am chinese on Blocking a Nation's IP Space · · Score: 5, Interesting

As a chinese American, I feel that these tensions between the USA and China are unnecessary, many things about China are sometimes overstated. For example, last summer I visited China, expecting to see many US sites blocked by the Great firewall, but instead do not see things like that. I did not encounter any websites that seemed to be blocked. Also, many Chinese can read English, so I also feel it's unfair to block Chinese users from some websites.

But, this is rigged too, it's rigged to be on Linux's side since we all know that Linux is more stable. Something better would be like: identical servers, identical parts, and a test run to make sure there aren't any broken parts.

Then we will run for 2 weeks, and how many pages served for the 2 weeks (or any other amount of time) would be the benchmark.

Friend: I plan to delete you by opening up the hard drive and scratching the platters with a screwdriver. ALICE: Do you think that this plan will succeed? Friend: Yes, I will be successful in exterminating you. ALICE: Would you recommend this action to a friend? Friend: Not if I have exterminated you. ALICE: That seems unlikely.
