That story was about an ex-marine extradited for allegedly abducting a 12 year old girl he had "befriended". This story is about a hacker who brought to light the lax security of a number of US Government computers, while looking for evidence of alien contact. It's not exactly apples and apples, is it?
John Simm (from the BBC's excellent Life On Mars) has been seen in Dr Who season 3 promotional stills so maybe he's going to be the next Doctor. It would be a logical move and LOM finishes once this current run is over.
Aside from old age, heart disease and cancer are the big killers in the developed world and they both see major improvement by simply eating healthy and exercising more. Now when someone comes up with a drug that cures cancer as effectively as healthy living prevents it happening in the first place then you can try convincing me about the benefits of drug research.
Now the more likely scenario is that the drug companies are mainly working on chemical solutions to psychological conditions like depression which were often previously treated with counselling. Those 100 million dollar drugs aren't curing anything, they're alleviating symptoms marginally better than the previous patent-protected drug did.
You'd still be carrying a manbag with the Flipstart. A PDA you can just slip inside you jacket (or whatever) pocket. The advantage the Flipstart has over the PDA, I assume, is it would be somewhat easier to demostrate Powerpoint presentations on it. But even that is even easier on a trad laptop.
"My wish changes as the years go by; but my current one is that whenever someone lies, their forehead turns a flourescent red, and that everyone would know what that means."
Then I guess your forehead would be crimson because if your one wish doesn't involve money, power or sex you're just not normal.
Will probably be based on the Bionicles(sp) so not exactly classic lego anyway. All those pre-formed specific parts killed much of what LEGO was about anyway.
I did something similar to this except I blocked all access to the internet and told everyone that a Myspace virus had crashed the server. Then I spent the afternoon sobbing in my office to make them feel really guilty.
I'm assuming a Dreadknight follows the EQ Shadowknight model, ie a mix of Warrior and Necro - or it may be a type of anti-paladin. Either way it's not a fair comparison to a warrior, which is by the far the dullest character to play in WOW.

Actually the alternative isn't no content the alternative is Youtube style content. Scarier.
Thanks for that - I couldn't understand why a huge B&W discussion erupted over a Will Wright game. Not that I don't think Spore will fail to live up to expectations How can it? The guts of it is an alien dress up doll, just like the Sims was a traditional doll house. I don't play with dolls. Except for my Ric Flair ACTION FIGURE...
Or in other words - get involved in the politics. Some may not wish to stoop so low.
Wasn't there an entry on Slashdot a few months back about how the Wikipedia is actually controlled by a very small number of editors who make the majority of the decisions about what actually goes up. If it was an actual free-for-all the system wouldn't work but pretending that anyone can contribute is a bit disingenuous.
...and while it's not exactly dense legalese it is pretty dull. Which is going to be the problem isn't it. I wrote to my MP during the main anti-EU patent campaign and it was probably an eye-opener for him when compared to the typical letter he'd receive on a weekly basis. But with software patents there are some pretty broad strokes you can paint if you want to paint a negative picture - anti-competitive monopolies, patent trolls etc. But I think we're going to have a harder time convincing our MPs that there's a good reason not to criminalise commercial copyright infringement whether it's on Youtube or selling pirate DVDs in pubs or at car boot sales.
While I may BT the odd TV show at least I know what I'm doing is illegal. Instinctively I know that if this goes through it's the thin end of the wedge to making it not only illegal but criminal too. But I suspect my freedom to steal TV off the internet with only the threat of a fine hanging over my head is going to be a hard sell to my MP.
Last time this was raised I think it was agreed that Sony had said they would produce BR porn discs but that there was nothing stopping other production facilities with the appropriate equipment from producing them. The implication in the synopsis that porn companies are reverse-engineering BR is cute but inaccurate. Sony will let you make BR porn just not at their facilities.
So how's your dog? I'm assuming he didn't peg it so the CD recordable layer probably isn't THAT toxic, if toxic at all.
I think you're confusing Barry Manilow and Barry White. Well, I seriously hope you're confusing them.

I know you're joking but there is http://www.gbpvr.com/
Or just wasn't used online.
I think the people playing mini-games on Xbox Live might be surprised to hear that.

I prefer to think of it as God giving us little friends so we'll never be lonely.
Yeah, apparently the space program is now doing their purchasing on the Shopping Channel.

Oh, I should have explained - I'm management so an afternoon sobbing actually raises my productivity.

True but the scary thing is some people might disagree with you.

You forgot about the guy you have to pay to come over and put the gloves on for you so they don't interfere with your socks.

But if you're signing up for a gmail account you're already trading a certain amount of privacy away anyway.
Whoa! There's GPS porn?
