If your boss is asking for more time then he's obviously realizing your value to his company. If I were in your position I would give two weeks notice and then tell him you'll be available to contract on an hourly basis after that. Double your salary. (I'm not kidding about that part, you'll be paying more taxes on that money than if you were an actual employee). This way you can still work as needed, but you will receive an added bonus for staying longer. If he doesn't agree, tell him "Thanks, but I need to go" and that's the end of it. =)
The length of the blurb is causing the length of the comments about the length of the blurb to become very lengthy and it's forcing me to comment on the length of the comments with regards to the length of the blurb in a very lengthy way!
It's no suprise to me (a web developer of 6 years) that the "internet" is going to begin splitting into subsets of standards. We already have several which make up the internet: HTTP, SMTP, FTP, etc. You simply cannot create a "standard" which meets the requirements for dramatically different applications. (That's why WAP was invented).
50 years ago it was inconceivable that the television would need to have multiple channels, let alone the hundreds that are available on basic cable today. After all, most cities only had one broadcasting station!
In the same way, the WWW will begin "splitting" as it were, in order to satisfy different needs with different solutions...
Prentice Hall PTR publishes each book under an Open Source book license and provides free electronic versions several months after each book's publication.
Does anyone know where to obtain these free electronic versions of older books? I skimmed a couple Prentice Hall sites but couldn't find anything. Thanks!
I wonder if Larry Mumper bought a laptop from "Scammer25184" with a 0 feedback last year, only to find out the laptop must have gotten lost in the mail...
I work with 3 Japanese programmers and two Indian programmers (the reason I mention the Indian programmers is because they also have the same comments).
By far, the biggest comment all of my co-workers have about the culture change, is that Americans are "uncomfortably" informal. My Japanese couterparts mentioned that it took them several years to adjust to the way Americans speak to eachother. You may also find that some Americans are somewhat uncomfortable with "over-politeness" (or our perception of it, anyway).
Finally, both Indian programmers mentioned that their Indian born and raised wives still have a very difficult time building meaningful friendships with American women. I don't know that I can speak as to why, specifically. But I can only imagine that the role of women in the United States must be very different than most other countries.
Has there been a consumer technology "lock" that hasn't been broken? I sleep well at night knowing that people much smarter than me, and with much more time, are already working on a hack.
In a few years I can drive my SUV to McDonalds... Get fat... Get lipo... Give the fat to AgroWaste... Convert it to fuel... Gas up my SUV... Drive my SUV to McDonalds...
"Hell is: Indian Salary, Chinese Home, British Food, American Wife."
My American wife is a chef in a prominent British resturant working for an Indian company in China, you insenstive clod!
I guess if your DVD is all scratched to hell and doesn't even play anymore you can get another DVD or 7 bucks whereas before you were just screwed!
And to think... I was keeping my virtually destroyed copy of Lambada for sentimental value!!!

It seems to me that your choice should depend less on the hardware and more on the games available for the platform.
Personally, I love the Mario series, so it follows that the DS is the only option. Are there going to be many games available only for the PSP?
American students don't have the same respect for education.
All you people can do is generalize...
LOTR... Musicals... Slashdot member...
I am now in possession of the trifecta of "never to be laid". =)

Its just a waste of time for the countless people who cannot relate to that persons problem.
Hmm... Almost 100 replies... Yea, that really seems like nobody can relate. =/

I'm still pissed that my diapers go bad after only 2 weeks of use!
