    You are partially correct. iPods' embedded screen resolution is now VGA, not 640x420.

    I once found a dual PIII Xeon server on the street, with 4gb RAM and 8 10,000 RPM 12gb SCSI drives (wiped, of course). Three 22" ViewSonic flat screen CRTs. A working professional-quality scanner. It is positively ludicrous what New Yorkers throw out.

    Which excludes 1% of MySpace users, a negligible figure. The data is pretty accurate.

    What do you think of gigabit ethernet, then? As with any networking protocl, 802.11x has more uses than merely connecting to the Internet.

    Intel has already fought back, by (attempting) to phase out the NetBurst architecture. It's unlikely that we'll see any significant Intel innovations any time soon, since the duration of R&D cycles seems to be 3-4 months.

    AMD's offerings probably won't significantly change either, since the 4x4 architecture it's been touting is irrelevant in the low-end desktop market.

    Unfortunately, innovation doesn't occur on-demand.

    Wrong; You don't have to reboot. Windows incorrectly states that scaling font DPI requires a reboot.

    Yes, they do. Only poorly written applications which use bitmapped widgets/graphics don't scale properly. Ironically, ATI's control panel doesn't work at any other font resolution besides the default 96dpi.
