low homophobic men's penis grew radially larger than high homophobic men when watching opposite sex erotic films. however, high homophobic men's penis grew radially larger than low homophobic men when watching same sex erotic films.

this led to the conclusion that high homophobic men are actually in denial and has utilized one of our defense mechanisms known as reaction formation to help them cope with this denial.

i thought once the voyager has been launched, the only thing left to do is wait for it to send information back. that sounds like just maintenance on the satellite that receives the information. is that where all the money is going? putting up satellites to receive information from the voyager?

or is the money going into fixing and servicing the voyager. i'm not sure how many missions the voyager has gone, but it always sounds like it takes it a really long time to get from one place to another, so servicing/mainenance only occurs when it returns right? how often does the voyager return?

It might be cheaper for them, and cheaper for us initially (the cost of purchasing the car), but in the long run, it's definitely going to cost us more. As someone stated, it's another degree of seperation for the original energy source. Instead of using the electrical energy directly to drive the car, we're using the energy compress gas. Anyone who's taken physics understands that there will be energy loss for every energy conversion due to heat loss, friction, etc.

In other words, we might be paying a couple thousand less that an electric car, but it'll come back to bite us when we need to pay more for electricity to drive the same distance an electric car can. of course, there's not enough statistics out there to show how much more electricity is required to drive a compressed air engine. that would be something interesting i'd like to see.

i would also like to see some other statistics such as the top speed it can reach. how far it can drive before it needs to be recharged. last i heard, electric cars can usually drive about 100 miles before needing a recharge, but that was a few years back and battery technology and engine technology should have advanced.

another good statistic would be how long it takes to recharge. i'd actually like to see Toshiba's One-Minute-Recharge Li-ion Batteries applied in this field.

  14. You don't understand how a hybrid car works on Modified Prius gets up to 180 Miles Per Gallon · · Score: 1

That is not how a hybrid car works. from How a Hybrid Works

Though the basic principles of hybrid operation are the same -- that is, an electric motor is used to assist a gasoline engine to reduce fuel consumption and emissions -- there are two types of hybrids.

The first type can propel itself using only the electric motor at very low speeds. The electric motor also has the ability to kick in and help out the gasoline engine when more power is needed, such as when passing or climbing a steep grade. The Toyota Prius and the Ford Escape Hybrid fall into this category.

The second type uses the electric motor only to assist the gasoline engine when it needs extra boost, again during brisk acceleration or when going up a hill. The Honda Insight and Civic Hybrid fall into the second category.

Therefore, unless you're driving really really slow or keep on accelerating or climb up a hill, which all three are bad for mileage, I don't see how u can get infinite mpg.

however, there are a few users that really piss me off. they believe since i'm getting paid to troubleshoot, it's my obligation to help them and they're sorta the boss paying me to fix their computer. when our school rolls out new software, they complain like there's no tomorrow, saying "this is going to be very inconvenient for me. what am i suppose to do now? you mean i have to insert my password everytime now? this is very annoying. i thought the computer was suppose to make our life easier. and etc"

i don't ever get the feeling that we're the evil tech guy, but i really hate it when users underappreciate the work that we technicians do. it's not like i was the one who decided on the policy change to use a new more secure software. i'm just the middle guy that goes around and gets the job done and fixes problems.

we're really comparing apples and oranges here. on one side, 8-track and cassette tapes are analog media to to be able to play them requires special hardware for each of them. however, data stored on optical discs are digital formats, and to be able to play something digital is basically installing a software decoder, which probably is a chipset firmware upgradable.

that's why nowadays, you have dvd players that act as cd players, and pretty soon we'll have hdvd-players which will act simultaneously as a dvd and a cd player.

as long as the industry is supporting some sorta of optical disc format, we'll be able to retrieve information off optical discs back to the beginning of CDs.

but as someone earlier mention formats like trying to read word95 or access95 documents and not being able to, finding a convertor or reader for these types of files will be many many times easier than finding an old equipment to read off from analog media.
