  1. You probably mean this on Legal BitTorrent Communities for Class Presentation? · · Score: -1, Troll

    Ruby! thou shouldst be living at this hour:
    Slashdot hath need of thee: she is a fen
    Of stagnant waters: altar, sword, and pen,
    Commenting, the heroic wealth of post and prower,
    Have forfeited their needed lib'ral dower
    Of Rumsfeld-bashing. We are broken men;
    Oh! raise us up, return to us again;
    And give us courage, virtue, freedom, power.
    Thy attitude was fresh, and dwelt apart:
    Thou hadst a manner which ticked off Cheney:
    Filled each forum with mad conspiracy,
    So didst thou post on /.'s common way,
    In cheerful wrecklessness; and yet thy heart
    The lowliest moderations trolls did lay.

    You should also add a better title, such as "Slashdot, 2006".

    Perhaps you should examine the Star Trek:TNG episode "Thine Own Self". This shows how a civilization might handle radioactive material. The stuff may get passed around as different curious people try to analyze it, and everyone gets radiation poisoning.

    That may make sense to most people, but it might not be true. Catullus was quite unpopular in Roman times, looked down upon as an inferior poet, but today he is up there with Horace and Ovid. Maybe a couple thousand years from now, people will be studying Star Trek: Enterprise. It's hard to imagine now, but Catullus himself wouldn't have guessed he would survive twenty-one centuries.

    This headline isn't going to matter. Down here in southside Virginia, there is a group of preachers who are convinced that the entire fossil record was planted by the US Army during the first half of the 1940's. Two things that get me:

    1. Why on Earth would they do that?! What could there possibly be to gain by doing that?
    2. Early 1940's. Hmm...if I remember my history correctly, weren't they a little busy about that time?

    You try to present these points to them and they just repeat themselves, quite often a little louder. This can't be the only place in the world that has people with such logic-defying ideas. If these people didn't believe science before, they won't now. Not even if God Himself comes down and sets them straight.

    We usually take care of these things in metamod. Your rogue moderators are especially easy to catch considering The Grand TrollMod Army doesn't seem to be using Overrated anymore.

    I've also noticed that your TrollMods don't seem to be modding you down as much lately. They probably can't get mod points anymore. This is why we have M2. Just a few more, and you may never have to complain again.

    The rest of us, huh? Including this guy? I think you're the same troll who stalks TMM. And don't try to pass off any of that "I know for a fact there are many of us" bull. Those of us decent enough to log in to speak our minds aren't falling for it.

    Also, if it isn't funny, then why am I modded that way? I was also modded Underrated, as you can see in the moderation breakdown. If the civilized people who log in and post meaningful things to Slashdot enough to get mod points think it's funny, then that is all that matters. I don't care what a faceless AC troll thinks, and neither does anyone else. That's why you were modded Overrated.
