And he'll be able to take a test using that? I highly doubt it. The TI's and a few HP's, casio's, etc are some of the only calculators allowed to be used on lots of standardized testing (or a scientific calc and nothing more), so unless you feel like buying both its a waste. TI pretty much has a lock-in on the market in my area of the country (NW Pennsylvania).
On a brighter note, a TI-89 Titanium should last you through college.
If you have to have DRM then Apple's is certainly better than anyone else's.
Thats the same as saying "well, if you have to fuck me in the ass, you might as well use the smallest dick". Well, personally, I don't like getting fucked in the ass. Why should I have to? Don't be such a sheep and give up your rights to music YOU PURCHASED. The digital media market is fucked up. You have the option to pay money to download a file you can't do everything you want with - or - you can download it for free and do whatever you want. Which one would you choose?
When are they going to come out with the iWoman. There really aren't too many models out there with a usable interface, awesome features, sleek design, and low cost. And there's a HUGE market demand that I would say is VERY predictable.
As a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate senior, I can confirm that we are shown horror stories, but not in a way that actually makes a difference. Yes, we know that what we design will often be used in situations that can kill people, but look at the design procedures for both and you'll see that they really aren't TOO different on a vague level. One of the things that helps mechanical design is all the history we have with it, and the use of safety factors. There are not many things with code that you can do to save your ass if you aren't sure.
And then you want to get your sound working on your newer laptop?
Worked with ALSA out of the box.
Must be nice, my new Toshiba Satellite doesn't have working sound in Ubuntu. It didn't when I installed it, and it still doesn't because its a problem with ALSA. Its on the buglist but isn't fixed yet. Your laptop isn't the only one made remember.
A few bucks? Where the hell do you shop at. Movies aren't exactly cheap, and games are FAR FAR from cheap - they are rediculous.

Or maybe we'll get lucky, and sinces its bleeding edge, it will bleed out and die.
How about this or this? Sorry, I couldn't find a pic of Jobs where I could squeeze the apple into his mouth =/
Slashdot needs (+1, Troll) besides (-1, Troll).
I thought thats why we have +1 Insightful?
I kid, I kid
Well when you say it like that it makes sense! (sadly it almost does =/)

I flew into Chicago O'hare on November 7, on a united plane too, why didn't I get to see the ufo? (Seriously, I did)
You coded on Vista?
Can you rephrase that in terms of a car analogy? I do much better with those. TIA.
You never played the first release of Oblivion did you?
Yeah right here next to monitor - uh...errr... I mean over here on my coffee table on three rooms away.
I thought Linus did a pretty good job describing slashdot.
Where I come from, it's only a good one if you can taste it.
Personally, I am waiting for the google strip club. Don't like what you see? Hit back and search again!!
I'm just wondering what will happen if you hit the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button.
Well which one's faster?
Oh, I thought R stood for rank and couldn't figure out what that translated to.
Coffee, out through nose. Freaking halarious, thank you.
or logical thinking skills
They are the number one payed site to download TV shows still
People pay for that?
It's quite obvious, we need to stop interacting with the French so much. It's rubbing off on us.
It's that building with all the books where you used to go in college to look at those business major girls.
