If science is important to you, why do you support this organisation [sic]?
Because to a Catholic ascribing those beliefs that would be tantamount to performing medical tests on prisoners or raising children as an organ farm.
Is it that so unimaginable to you that the definition of what is and is not human and when that occurs is not 100% clear-cut? I am personally of the belief that this happens at some point between conception and birth (different for each) and that by saying, treat all fetuses as humans immediately after conception is the only 100% way not treat one mistakenly. I don't think this makes me anti-science, but as is their right, I'm sure others will oppose.
What is your argument for not allowing you to overload a+a (somebody else mentioned string concatenation, right above, so I've still got that on my brain)?
I don't hold the school in high regard precisely because of this.
Do you not hold mathematics in high regard, either?
Granted, after reading the Wikipedia page I don't hold them in much regard, either, from reading the claims of wholesale rejection of any statistical or empirical evidence. I would have thought that such evidence would at least give them a place to focus looking for their "logical deductions". (The logical deductions part even further reminded me of mathematicians like Whitehead and Russel and their Principia Mathematica book that tried to logically deduce the whole of mathematics.)
The company that runs our solar array doesn't bother washing the solar panels, because they found that the labor costs of washing them outweigh the benefits of the additional power. Instead they just size the array slightly larger to account for dust buildup, and let the occasional rainshower do the work.
Yeah, no kidding. Why waste all that money only to realize very little savings from collecting solar energy, when so much more savings are realized, maintenance free, from collecting the tax subsidies for just having it sit there?
There was an episode on Masterminds, where an airline reservations agent was selling information about when families would be out of town to a local criminal organization.
I think it was Car and Driver that made the claim that you can't let them sit for 3 months without basically ruining the batteries. Keep that in mind if you look for a used one.
I wonder if these great warranties they are offering are transferable? If not, the resale value will be shot, which I would think would also need to be figured into the total cost of ownership.
Drilling a parallel relief well wouldn't be a panacea anyway. There are risks drilling any well, and the relief well could experience a blowout too.
Just enact more regulation that requires an extra relief well be drilled for the original extra relief well. Don't worry about the dangers of that new well because this solution scales quite nicely to fix that, too.
Would you not drop your current internet provider, today, and even pay a little more to one that advertises as Net Neutral (and actually practice it, too, considering they all basically advertise as Net Neutral when giving their connection speeds (and in my view illegally advertising, at that))? From all the bellyaching I've seen here, I can guarantee you would not be the only one to switch.
Pffft. English already has those: Reddening:becoming redly, the quality of redness. Mastercattering: causing someone to become a master of cats, by teaching them the mystic ways of ancient Mastercatters. Liberace: doing something in a freedom loving spirit, usually involving rhinestones and a piano.
For the placebo you could use bottled water from the EU that does not help hydration.
It's real easy to be compassionate with other people's money. True compassion comes from yourself, not from the end of a gun.
I've never read a decent textbook that didn't require a teacher to actually teach the material
The trick is to also have the instructor's edition.

I see 0 economic value in restoring ancient artifacts.
Have you ever been to a Christie's auction? Don't we normally call ancient artifacts priceless? Is that because of their 0 economic value?

Stronger features mean it's easier to shoot yourself in the foot.
I am a strong supporter of the 2nd amendment. ;-)
Feel free to reimplement Windows.
FWIW: Microsoft gives away the full version to students. https://www.dreamspark.com/default.aspx

Do they really go up to 1 terahertz or was that just a typo?
"So where's the benefit in not being on a contract?"
The fact that you can leave at any time without breaking the contract you agreed to.
Its easy on the eyes, though you don't get "hardcore" points w/ coworkers for a black background with neon text.
And stop making fun of my black background and neon text that I'm staring at right now in Visual Studio (okay, okay, 1 window behind slashdot).
Scat is just animal dung, not some sick act with it.
Are you sure you're not including your city and/or county sales tax?
Sales tax rate calculation

3 kids should fit in a Volt just fine.
Maybe for a one parent family and only if one child is old enough to be able to sit in the front seat. They don't have a middle seat in the back.
When did Carlin say that? The earliest I could find was a stand-up in 1992. Jurassic Park was published 1990.

He must not have been union.
Even stuff like cap and trade or the public mandate for health insurance, both of which were conservative alternatives to the left's previous plan.
Shoot me in the foot or shoot me in the head and I'll always choose my foot--either way, I still won't think it's the right thing to do.
there's no market incentive
