Storage is the "next great myth" - a solution looking for a problem. And government handouts.

I was stuck behind storm Sandy in New Jersey and discovered that 99% of the problems there were self induced. Guess what - they don't trim trees away from the power lines. Every time you get wind, dozens to hundreds (or thousands in this case) or branches snap the lines.

This is about teaching kids how to get away with a crime and be disrespectful.

The police are there to protect you, but unfortunately also to enforce laws that politicians write. If you don't like the laws then go after the politicians.

This anti-police crusade is no different than rioting and burning down your own neighborhood. Wrong target, wrong method.

There's also the matter of effectiveness, and americans pretty much have everyone beat.

I think it's funny that people are surprised that burglaries are skyrocketing in Seattle (and to a lesser extent the rest of Washington). Legalized drugs and outlawed firearms has consistently lead to property crimes (and often assaults) increasing several hundred percent in other countries/states/cities.

Couple thoughts... first that people need to quit blaming police for asset forfeiture, and start blaming politicians that passed the stupid laws - and the only ones that can revoke them.

To take it a step further, most civil law should be revoked. It has nothing to do with right or wrong, and everything to do with who spends the most on lawyers.
