Is Sept to March gun season? Because, in most states, archery season is longer than gun season for all game. So...Let's say that Sept to March is gun season, with various zoning regulations, and then archery season will last from June to June, statewide in all states.

This is such a silly way to look at it (Not the parent, but the described mentality...). There should not be a pro-business/pro-consumer divide. In a business climate, the happier the customer is, the more business you will get. That's just simple business 101. However, I'm not surprised that the situation has degraded into an us vs. them catastrophe.

I, too, work senselessly on Access queries and waste countless hours formatting spreadsheets for that silly accounting department.
My days of spreadsheet jockeying are at an end. I'm so sick of this work that I'm going freelance. I'll be taking a pay cut for a while, until I build up enough business. I'm also giving up the security of a regular paycheck, which is a bit stressful. However, if I really stop to think about it, there's no security in the corporate world. I could be downsized at any time--all in the name of workplace efficiency.
You see, to me it's worth it, regardless of any reduction in pay. If what you're doing from day to day is wearing you down, leave. It's much better to be happy than to "work at jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need," (Durden, Tyler, The Bible).
Go with what will make you happy. If it doesn't work out financially because the company folds or just doesn't grow at an acceptable rate, get a new job or start your own company. Remember, "there's no fate but what we make for ourselves," (Connor, John, T2).

Actually, I majored in Psych for a couple of years before getting into an engineering program. But since you mentioned it, one of the basic tenants of psychology is that supressing memory and emotion is bad.

Denying that some horrible shit did not happen, when it actually did happen, is wholly unhealthy, whether the denial be from drugs, hypnosis, suicide, or whatever.
And jumping to insane conclusions that someone is implying government-mandated rape programs would be a good idea is also quite unhealthy.
