Maybe we're looking at this from the wrong angle? Perhaps they view cybercrime as a division that you don't necessarily just throw agents at. They may only have a specific number of agents with the specific training necessary to prosecute cybercrime cases.
I'm just saying that perhaps looking at simple agent ratios wouldn't necessarily be an accurate reflection of the amount of attention that cybercrime receives. The other jobs may be more man-power intensive, even though they may be lower down on the priority list.
Agreed with most of these points, but what's wrong with video? I've never had video under Linux give me problems--in fact, under Ubuntu, I found it far easier than playing videos on Linux.
WiFi, though, is definitely an issue, as is Plug-N-Play. I would also add printing to the list. Note that I don't have a printer at home, but my friend told me it was a bitch for him to get his printer running under Linux. Has it gotten any better?
Agreed 100% about the drama and crashes...like another poster said, maybe we need to shift some of the focus off of the "fair scheduler" and only user-friendliness and point-and-clickability.
Wow! It's like the Wizard of Oz...a straw man that needs a brain.
He never mentioned American democracy, and ESPECIALLY never mentioned that "everybody" wants to live in the USA. He just mentioned that a group of people will always want democracy because they have the chance to have a say in government...argue against what he said, don't put up a ridiculous strawman to defend a point he wasn't attacking.
Ummm...where in TFA (or anywhere else, for that matter) do you see advertising mentioned?
I know the tin-foil-hat mentality is rampant here on slashdot, but please, at least try to have a bit of concrete (no, anecdotal doesn't count) evidence before you go around slinging accusations.
Sure, but it's still a humiliating experience, no matter what the financial penalty of the divorce...also a vengeful spouse who's just been cheated on is most likely not going to go for a no-fault divorce;-).
Remember, the topic of discussion here is levers...no matter what your feelings toward divorce, cheating on your spouse will definitely be a lever;-).
Nobody gives a shit if you're gay, lesbian, bi, or straight, or you cheated on your spouse, or you have debt, or you used illegal drugs, or you have a Britney Speares collection.
One of the things that made half-life so amazing was the modability. Sure, the game was wonderful, but the real icing on the cake was the plethora of multi-player and single-player modifications that were created, some of which even became separate games (i.e. Counterstrike, Day of Defeat).
What?? A government official makes comments that shows he knows nothing of a particular technology that is vital to him performing his job? Wow....good thing this kinda stuff never happens in the USA!
Get real! The idea of someone with a pacemaker dying with a Zune in their hand is laughable. If fact, such a person would more likely die from embrassment than a pacemaker failure.
Well don't stop there! The idea of anyone, pacemaker or no, dying with a Zune in their hand is laughable! Actually....well, the idea of anyone with a Zune in their hand, living or dead, is laughable in itself:-).
That would help big business. They could sue citizens for, to them, relatively small amounts--$1,000,000, for instance. If they win, they destroy the person they sue...if they lose, that's only a few million lost, no big deal. When the little guy decides to sue the big corp, however, he's better have a rock-solid case. He'd be forced to pay the attorney fees if he loses--so in addition to the $100,000 he was suing for, he'd also have to pay the $15,000,000 for the super-elite attorney force hired by the big corp.
Technically, you don't even end up where you started on a Mobius loop! You end up on the other side of the loop. You have to go around twice to get back to where you started.
I remember that a while ago some PS2s with Linux were used in some scientific settings for certain vector calculations, I believe (I only skimmed the linked article...I saw this on The Screen Savers a while back). Would the PS3/Linux combo be an even better replacement? They're expensive as hell, but I would imagine much faster.

Aaaah...Cobra-La. Thanks!
I am serious...I didn't know if the GGP was making a joke. I'm not so familiar with G.I. Joe.
Hacked into the Pentagon, apparently.

Perhaps it would even provide a very fertile ground to try out in-game advertising? The first(?) totally ad-supported MMO...

Wh....wh....what the fuck???
That's a little like saying "Think of Hitler as a Jewish philanthropist."
So....you're angry at slashdotters for being immature comedians, when your signature proclaims "free boobs!"?
Errrrr....do you know who Anna Politkovskaya, Ivan Safronov, or Alexander Litvinenko are?
Putin kills. Maybe not as much as Stalin, but if you are a "big fish" against Putin...expect retaliation.

Start Trek?
At this point, it's more like Stop Trek.
...other life forms don't really give a shit to Ebola, AIDS or other dumb monkey weapons...
I may be wrong, but weren't both AIDS and Ebola contracted from monkeys?

At the rate things are going now, ten years from now we will live in a society of 0% crime and 0% fredom.
You're wrong about that--there won't be 0% crime. In our new 1984 society, everything beyond eating, sleeping, and drinking will be a crime...
Is it really ruled by Mac-obsessed almost-hipsters with unwise facial hair and diagonal black-and-white photos of themselves?
Welcome to the blogosphere, kahei. Welcome to the blogosphere.
Just a nitpick...Microsoft supported Net Neutrality.
