$2,000 per violation of the Consumer Protection Act. Shouldn't that be more like $2,000,000 per violation? That's not much of an incentive to keep companies from screwing customers.
I should have been more specific. I don't install apps that require network access which have access to contacts and SMS unless I see the source. You can install your own trusted dialer app or better yet, build and install the OS. I have all network access firewalled by default just in case I miss something.
I wouldn't care if Facebook deleted everything but how many people don't use Facebook via a phone? I refuse to use apps that have access to my contact lists, sms messages, and call history.
Just wow. Have you thought that what you are mistaken for lazy, things like not asking for a raise of more hours has nothing at all to do with being lazy but everything to do with self confidence. What about those who just don't value money as much as you do? I know a few people that are far from lazy but they have chosen jobs that pay minimum because that's what they love doing. You are pretty arrogant to think that everyone making a shitty wage is inferior to you.
Instead of teaching kids to code lets teach them formal logic, data organization, process management, and systems analysis. All those skills are useful in daily life yet learning how to code is a complete waste of time.
Bitcoin stability only needs to be measured in days. All that's needed is enough time to bill someone in currency x and redeem it in currency z. It's primary function is to keep banks and governments out of the transaction.

Why the need to block VPNs? If Netflix wanted to deal with the 'problem' they would allow content based on the street address of the credit card.

In Canada I don't know of any retailers, other than gas stations, that accept NFC payments over $50. It's still chip + PIN

This isn't altruism as one of the conditions of altruism is selflessness. This is obviously just another way to promote Facebook.
I had always thought that Apple price gouged on most of its products. This is just an example of trying to optimize the Apple tax.
