Not really sure where you get that idea. The DS has about 5~6 hours continuous battery life. My g1 lasts about 9-10 hours of continuous use. And uhh, if I'm on my phone for 9 hours straight, I'm not doing my job very well.
A trillion dollar device is built on more than security through obscurity. Losing the secret plans to the next-gen fighter aircraft isn't going to allow anyone to build a $30 counter weapon. And if it does? Then that device wasn't worth a trillion dollars and deserves to be grounded permanently.
