You are ignoring all the first hand interviews with the Firemen and Janitors inside the building talking about secondary explosions. Actually the Janitors reported explosions moments after the thud overhead. But then again, that would be conspiracy theories right ?
I wasn't there, I only saw the live video footage. But demolitions are not always started top to bottom. I'm pretty sure you can find some on you tube. The charge delays and placements depend on the direction they want the debris to fall and the size/shape of the structure. I would point you to many engineering sites that commented on this the day after, but those pages were all ordered removed, and that's not a conspiracy relic, it's fact, I saw some of these pages, and they weren't meant to advance any nutsoed speculation...
If they had tried to blow up such a structure in one shot bottom up, well it's too tall to even consider this anyways...
"I think having a democratically elected government that relies on science during criminal investigations is a good thing."
You don't on both counts....so, this was a sarcastic right ?
We all saw it, a lot of us can recognize a demo when we see it because we were trained in the military and have seen plenty of them. It takes months to plan something to collapse so well. Enough said. Gimme my Onionskin hat already...
What's more dangerous is the plethora of mindless yes men and women who say crap like "It's unpatriotic to question your government....."
Even though it makes me sad, I love these guys, Colbert and Stewart. They make me laugh c'ause otherwise I'd be crying all the time about the things I cannot change. I hope Stephen does get to talk at the Dems convention, it'll be a funny romp indeed ! As far as the rise in donations, the US gets to see their politicians in a social contect out of the norm for most of them, and so if they show something of a personality, they get the attention they deserve...sorry cookie !
For millions of years while the Survival of the fittest pages continued? Sure why not. But comparing biology with prose is a little shallow. Biology is so complex. Random words and letters are just that, random. If adaptation and mutation get something right it continues, passes on the successful changes to the next variations... If one monkey gets a word right, he won't be spelling it right again for another million years... Cheers.
I'd like to see a headline like "Malware Creators of XP AntiVirus 2008 Charged Today"... When it's as straight forward as this, and they trick people to actualy get their useless software, (which doesn't protect you at all, it just infects other PC's), it's just plain evident that there's no one interested in going after criminals even in plain sight. **sigh**
Just makes Symantec Ghost and Acronis more important to use...
You obviously didn't understand the concept of "Free Speech".
If you must remain anonymous to use it, it's no longer Free Speech...
For Speech to be free you must be able to show your Face and name without being labeled a pariah...Anything less won't do..
Now if you're talking about "In a Real World situation, anynomity is required for..." then of course, this isn't a perfect world, then you must also admit that Democracy is a joke...
No more morality, no more sense than that? And we expect you guys to become respectful lawyers?
Burn anyone down who, under the veil of anonymity, commits foul acts! It's the old "You can get away with it because only you and the lord can see you doing it" crap.... I don't know these women, they might not be very kind individuals, but trolls must be put down.
But this is being brought beyond the realm of reality.... Stop the anon postings, period. Want to post? Register...false info given? Banned. Finito.
But I understand that we have to overcomplicated this to encourage job creation... For the same profession that it's about (The courts and lawyers)....
These Trolls are the same guys that would have their careers cut short from a bar fight or hitting a traffic cop...So I don't care about their "investment" in education... They're jerks....
Don't do the deed unless you're ready to face the music cowards!
Sorry if it sounded like that, the young techs that are with me are quite bright and terrific at parties, not the Stereotypical Geeks that the media promotes.. Oh yeah, some lock themselves up for weeks coding or crash building sometimes, but when they resurface they are quite sociable....
I was just referring to "Immature" = "Young" by definition, not always by practice;-)
Not easy being over forty and functional in this field ya know....
I just love the way people judge others they will never meet from tabloid tidbits. I'm not saying I agree with his methods but we have no idea what really went on here and if we're talking about 200 IT jobs lost in the last eight years and security being a joke this guy might end up a hero...and for any of you young goofballs out there with ass cherry jokes, your pot smoking will more likely get you there...this guy will be playing tennis and knitting at the very worse...
I just wish we could have proof of age on the Net so we didn't have to tolerate the "anonymous effect".
"loads a page that asks the user to download a codec" "While certainly sneaky, it looks like this still requires the user to do something."
User education is the culprit.... A computer is one of those hitech devices that you can use without almost any education about it...
I mean, are we really reaching for a goof proof system where the user can be completly in the dark about the inner workings ? LOGO anyone ? typewriter ?
No can, no worms... This small startup is trying to detract from the intended gameplay... Windows third parties ADD to Microsoft content and useability, and there have been many lawsuits in the past about Microsoft not playing nice with competition.
The early 90's saw them settling suits with many. Like the previous WordPerfect creators (this was WFW 3.11 era). If you had both Office 2.4 (i think it was 2.4) and WordPerfect it would crash, the DLL's were rigged....
SO this is nothing new. What is new is the advent of online gaming and jerks trying to make a buck by screwing with it, and giving some users an advantage while ruining it for the rest.
I'm not into big corporations, but in this case it is in their best interests to protect the majority of their clients by doing this....
Why can't people just play by the rules ? Because we're greedy selfish types that will sell grandma to make a buck. This time, Grandad took out the shotgun and ran them off.
I build about five systems a month...So your mileage may vary.... I took Asus as an example, But currently have A-Bit, Gig-Byte, MSI and a few others in Clones PC's and 2 Clone servers....and some old Digital Alpha in the back coupled with a Celebris.
I wasn't commenting on Asus's reliability or "lemon" factor.....
I was commenting on the chances of longer life, better performance and less heartache on a Clone versus a Name Brand.
As far as having a quiet box well, stick to bigger Antec cases and the like instead of the cheap Generics...
What is actually meant here...
Most of my PC's are "unpatched"...
But they are behind a router, using zonealarm pro, pest patrol, Norton Coprporate, and Acronis.
I've had close calls with friends with CD's that come over, but if there are still the type
that just install Windows and surf, well, that's like going swimming without checking for sharks...
Stop buying name Brands for love's sake. They are simply cheaped out version of generics. The same Asus motherboards and cards with swapped out or missing chips. Go the extra mile and have one built or be adventurous and build one yourself, or find a 16 year old.
Use a Dell at work. Clones are for Homes.
And piracy sucks, just stop buying the crap, and when they start seeing the sales nosedive they'll lower prices so it's just more practical to purchase the real deal.
I know I know.... I guess I'd need a time machine to feel good about reaching 45 years... But just because it's foreign owned doesn't mean it's not Canadian... If that's your yardstick, Canada is not Canadian either !!
But I spend way too mauch time in front of a tube and LCD's... Best for me in the last decade has been White text on black backround. Rational for this is from the point of view of the Tube. I have much less radiation shooting at me from a black (null) backround. The only "light" that gets projected at my eye sockets is reduced to the text in white.
Otherwise, the whole backround (white) gets shot at me by three tube canons... after ten hours of this my eyes go funny... But with a black backround I can go all day...
As far as LCD's are concerned, a good quality LCD with great contrast ratio has much less light radiation, less eye strain, but I still do the white on black thing.
So M$ says and it's so huh...yeah right..
They can call today Thursday for all I care, doesn't make it so.
So sick of Corporations trying to squeeze every last dollar...
Eat the rich.
Many modern translations of the Bible ARE copyrighted.... Remember, the thing wasn't written in english ;-)
