Good point, in that case I would bring up the fact that previous attempts at handhelds by other companies (Wonderswan, Neo Geo) all failed even though they were better than the competition.
Even if Nokia release something with specs that put the PSP to shame I doubt it would help them any. The fact that three well known handhelds (GBA SP, DS, and soon to be PSP) are already on the market proves this. When the console market had four consoles in the past one of them failed (Dreamcast). N-Gage would be this one because of its bad reputation and the fact that hardley anyone knows about it compared to the other three.
But who is to decide whether said "journalism" is valid or not? You? Do we need to have a separte government orginization just to assess to validity of journalism?
Most definately a good point, but who is to decide whether or not some did their research? It seems to me a lot of "jounalists" don't research their strories half as well as some bloggers.
Game prices haven't changed that awfully much in the last ten years, if anything they went down. Console prices seem to be lower. I never remember being able to buy a console for $99 like the GameCube before the next generation was released.
Microsoft needs to get out of the game market as no one seems to want them there anyway. I don't know what they are trying to accomplish with this hostile takeover of sorts. This software sounds nice though, but it seems to me that these all-in-one deals cost more than if you went and got all the tools yourself.
Doesn't seem to me the gameplay will be much different on PS2. The better graphics are just a plus. I already said it is too late for GameCube but I was wondering what stopped developers in the past. I hope the same doesn't happen with the Revolution.
Seems to me businesses can do both...if you would read all my post you would realize that I said that if businesses made more games for GameCube then it would become more profitable. But some people are just looking for an argument. I myself as a programmer have a different work ethinc. I believe if you give gamers the best experiece possible then they will buy your game. That best experience would be on the GameCube not on PS2.
Why do developers seem to be afraid of the GameCube. RE4 is better than it ever could have been on PS2. It just goes to show that companies aren't concerned with making sweet games, just with making money. If developers would actually make games for GameCube maybe more people would buy it which in turn would make it more profitable to make them. Someone needs to take that first step though.
Does no one remember that the GameCube is still the second best-selling console in Japan? The XBox is not as well liked over there. Nintendo also does not spend near the money on advertising that Sony and Microsoft does. With all the franchises they own they are nowhere near going out of business.
I use it plenty when coding but that is not true DOS. The windows command prompt that comes standard with XP is only a stipped down version of DOS with limited functionality.

Which is where I am coming from. If "journalism" today is true journalism then blogging is indeed a form of journalism.

Journalism is almost always slanted by personal opinion. I have yet to see journalism without some form of bias.
It seems to me that while most people don't research their blogs there are some that do.
The same is true for journalists...most are rather crappy but the precious few that do their job well are those who define their job field.
In this way bloggers are in fact journalists, albeit unpaid, just some are better than others.
Considering how much research that some people put into their blogs I would definately consider it a form of journalism.
Heck I still code in Z80 for the TI-83+ calculator...it is only recently that I started coding for the computer...
Darn I was just getting ready to make my first homebrew GBA game...

Mod parent up...
if this is true... Thanks for the information.
...with the mice (mouses?) that we use now? Those who don't like them can use a trackball...

Law of Conservation of Matter? You don't know what you are talking about.

It seems the anti-Nintendo sentiment is not exclusive to gamers.
So conformity is the answer to everthing? I'm sure that is exactly how people got stuff done in past.
And that is Nintendo's fault how? Besides lack of online support I don't see why third-party developers avoid GameCube.
I agree...it's too late for GameCube. Hopefully the Revolution changes some people's opinions about Nintendo.

I mentioned that before but was shot down as being impracticle...
