My machine sucks. It's an AMD 800 MHz X 4cpu. Decided to upgrade. A lot of the bare bones companies didn't even offer ATI. They all offered Nvidia. The GPU I have right now is a Nvidia. I don't like it because I have to compile a driver every time I go to upgrade the kernel. WTH do I need to do that this day in age?
So I ended up buying a 5 GHz AMD with a 1000+ GPU Nvidia card. I'll put the old card in there too. The MB + power supply I bought will handle it.

Tough, you can't even communicate with it anymore. I had to dig up a vista machine to even set the time. Then trying to update it bricked the first one. They're supposed to be sending me a new one while they figure out how to use something other than IE and how to get it to update.
Maybe I should have bought a cheapo camera. Maybe they sell so many of them they have to keep them so they'll update.
The only think I could think to do is put them on their own switch, on their own network that is firewalled by a Linux box with two nics. Of course I realize someone could hook up to that network on the outside. No dhcp, no other services other than the other cameras and if you're running windows 10 - nothing you can do either.
They should also tow if you're more than say 10 minutes late. Reminds me of a jackass I saw that pulled into a filling station, fuel spot when there were spaces by the door. He went in, purchased a pack of cigs and departed. Why take up a filling bay? Well he smokes so... of course he's a fool.
