Let's set up a special prosecutor to look at the Democrats. Now we'd see some indictments and convictions. They're all connected.

Same with all the other BS in the world. California belongs to the USA as well. In fact the US took land clear down past Mexico city and they gave a lot of it back.

  6. Anyone still want an android? on Google Warns Android Might Not Remain Free Because of EU Decision (theverge.com) · · Score: 1

I've owned android phones, tablet. Every fricking one of them they update once, maybe twice and that's it. So sorry, no more updates for you! We also want to make it impossible for you to unlock it. Even if you unlock it have fun getting the drivers you need. So you walk around with a vulnerable phone.

One of my droids was hit by stagefright. They never did put out an update for it. I had to get a new one, which was also vulnerable to stagefright. They eventually updated it. Now Verizon couldn't care less about it. Pay $600 or so for a phone and they don't care. Pay all outdoors for service.

Not like the good old days. Had a phone and it worked for decades, in fact it would still work if I had a POTS connection. My old phone company doesn't even offer it anymore. Phone service was like $13 a month or something. Not all that long ago.

If someone stepped in, had a new OS for a phone that is maintainable, works as well as a droid or iphone, man they'd clean up. Let's all say no to Java based phones.

  7. Yes. Sometimes I wonder if they're infected with the dreaded Harvard MBA disease. They come in and screw all kinds of companies. The more of them you have, the worse off the company is.

  8. Guess I'm just damn lucky. I've owned a couple of their phones. The first one the only problem was after years it was dropped on a cement garage floor and managed to land right on top of a stone. It still worked, however. I still use the replacement. It's been many years, still holds a charge well. Way better than my Android. It works so much better that I'm considering blowing off android entirely. Companies simply refuse to update their phones and other android stuff. I moved to an Ipad 4 for that reason as well for aviation use. Now after years I'll probably have to pay the $300 to get the battery replaced. I'd rather do that than get another android.

Macbook pro - wife uses it, has used it for many years. When we take it in because the disk finally broke they're like - whoa! This is old!

Macbook air - Daughter's to replace her windows laptop that was constantly being infected with something. No more viruses, no more problems, it's been many years and it's still rock solid. She hasn't even backed it up in years.

I'm not encouraged by the company however. Their rain maker is gone and they don't seem to realize they need a new one. They probably already have one working for the company, another Jobs. They're too stupid to find him, or her. Maybe they have, they just don't want to make that person king of the hill at their expense.

  10. Knowledge of science. I faced this with a very accomplished astronomer from NASA back in the 1970s. I don't even remember the guys name. I was able to talk to him after a presentation. I asked about planets outside of our solar system. He said - nope, not possible. That's fiction. No doubt in his mind we're it. Keep in mind I'm a 12 year old kid at the time. I asked how many stars are out there? He came up with some big number. I said - so how come we're it. Seems like there would be at least 1 other out there. He was having none of it. I lost interest in astronomy for decades.

Here we are all of these years later and it's fact that there are planets in other solar systems. I have a feeling that he based what he said on what science knew at the time and can prove as established fact. Being Mr. Way great astronomer guy, how could he depart from the science gospel? I think that's reasonable.

Probably the same thing in your text book. That's what they knew at the time. I remember when I was in college we only had 109 elements. That's the great thing about science. We can learn from it as long as people don't make it political to pad their pocketbook.

Are Conservatives going around saying crazy stuff like let illegal aliens just come over here and do whatever they want? Are Conservative politicians telling people to go harass and beat up those they don't agree with?

Conservatives are conservatives by definition because they don't do things like that. Leftists are leftists because they do things like that. They can't stand any thoughts other than their own. They even fight among themselves.

Some users have been deleted for tweeting about God, The American Flag or guns. Apparently the American Flag is offensive to the left. They hate America and American success. That's what Obama's "fundamentally change America" was all about. From the most successful nation to just another nation as he put it.

If you're an American you need to know that you are in the top 1% of the world. Just think about that a minute and realize just how worse off you can be. Change it and you too can be in a third world country. We fought hard to have what we have. Stupidity and ignorance can do away with it quickly.

There are no regulations for coin yet. So the fraudsters are out there. Pump & Dump, etc.

Just look at the youtube videos. You don't want bitcoin, buy Tron. It's about to take off! It might blip a little. If that went up to $20,000 a coin, that would be great.

In last year's bitcoin runup people were mortgaging their houses to buy bitcoin. My wife and I were thinking - that's nuts. Today it's a fraction of what it was and now they have a big mortgage note to pay, probably for decades.

Famous one is politics. If you elect me your taxes won't go up. You elect him. Taxes go up because while they didn't raise your taxes, they raised your assessment on the property. An example of where they told the truth was the Republicans in the 1990s. Contract with America. They said if we elected them they'd get a balanced budget and they did. Unfortunately they also had term limits and they departed at the end of their term and Democrats took a lot of those seats and continued to screw things again. It was nice, we actually had a rebate on taxes. Well some of us did. The Democrats tried to hijack it all for the poor. In other words, give my refund to someone else who doesn't want to work.
