I saw a talk on this by someone who stated that if we got all our energy from wind power, there would be slight local climate changes close to the surface of the Earth near the wind farms because they would be slightly warmer. Apart from the small local changes (which would be primarily around the wind farms) it wouldn't make a difference because there is so much wind energy being created by the sun.

Well since the entire film isn't in front of the lamp at the same time (it's usually on a platter next to the projector), unless the lamp blew up most of the projection booth they could just splice back together the film with only a loss of around a second. If it was nitrate film (which is very uncommon) it probably would have done a lot of damage to the projector and booth and at that point they would most likely be worried about evacuating everyone rather than refunding them some how.

You don't always want the same webpage when you visit a site on the iPhone as on a normal browser. For one, it's often nice to have pages wider than 320 px - if you limit yourself to that as a webdesigner then you're really going to be pressed.

Also, most mobile users don't really want all the same information as someone with a full browser. For example, http://caltrain.com/ has quite an informative site with image of the route maps and everything, but they also have a site http://icaltrain.com/ for mobile browsers that works just like an iPhone app and lets you find routes between stops.
