    Adding onto the alternatives issue with hybrids, if everyone in the nation had a hybrid car, we'd still be 100% addicted to oil.

    I know the default for phpBB forums is a basic message and if you click the "I am under 13" link, then it gives you a form that the you're suppose to mail or fax to the administrator of the board.

    By that argument we can just say that coal is the answer for the short run and it's even better since we already have lots of power plants producing it. The energy required just to build the nuclear power plant is enormous not to mention mining the fuel (which is scarce). Sure thermonuclear is good in the long run, but we don't have that yet.

    The smaller sized bulbs are availible (they usually use around 5W) and what's more, you can put those in an adapter for your areas that need a low light but have the normal socket

    That's a horrible idea, nuclear energy isn't the answer either. Eventually we're going to run out of the fuel for these and then we'll be in trouble.

    Well you know the old saying about the man and the fish.

    Sure you can give them food and water, but if you also try and get them computers to learn then they might be able to pull future generations out of poverty and improve the overall living conditions of everyone in the area.

    Well you can make it look like what ever you like, just go to tools>appearance and pick a skin.

    Of all the browsers, Opera has the smallest (most compact) UI of them. Just because it doesn't look like firefox (which I find to be a bit too clunky slow for my liking) doesn't mean it's an ugly interface.

    Well the problem was that there were double quotes in double quotes so it closed the first one, thought little buddy was a new attribute, and opened a new set of quotes. Most likely a system that didn't have proper checking of strings.

    So you think that if the US started making google censor some more of the content then it would be no good at all? I personally use google for a lot of things, most of them would not be censored. I would much rather have the crippled version than no version of google.

    If you were in China would you rather have a censored google or no google at all? Not living in China you could probably say no google, but I'm sure if you didn't have it, you would take the opposite opinion. You'd also probably thing it was evil of google to abandon your country. As a search company, their job is to make as much content accessibly to as many people as possible. Removing a major part of the population would be much worse than just removing some of the content.

    There's typically a crack in the metal on the bottom, and a usb symbol on the top.

    I have to point out here that the game by LucasArts "Armed and Dangerous" is the funniest game I have ever played (just look for some of the cutscenes online), and on top of that, almost everything in the game can blow up.

    The addition of the "Block Content" on the context menu which is about the equivilant of firefox's adblock is basically the only thing people said firefox had over Opera

    Many phone/pda devices use the mobile version of Opera which is fully capable of rendering HTML and CSS

    Although IE for mac handles more CSS, it handles it wrong so it's not a gain over the windows version
