my mom grew up during the 1930's depression, she still cuses FDR to this very day for ordering farmers to take fruit & vegetables out to the desert and burn it when it could have went to feed the poor, (he did it to keep the prices from dropping too much). and she still keeps leftover food until it starts to turn rancid and sometimes i have to go through her refrigerator and throw out old food, i know how the great depression influenced people, she wont waste a drop of anything, i seen that the insanity can go the other direction too, i wont bother to scrape the last drop out of a can or bottle, but i wont waste half a container of good food if it can be frozen and thawed to be re-used
and drop em in to molten lava at that volcano since it is hot enough to melt even glass & metal that way there wont be nothing left even the toxic material will be burnt and encapsulated with lava rock when it cools

the mozilla team keeps adding stuff to it that normal browsers dont need in order to surf websites, why didnt they fork it off and make a separete browser for phones & tablets, there is a boatload of stuff in the x86 PC browser that i dont need, plus when they screwed up the menus & addressbar & tool bar that was the last straw, i dont want to relearn the interface every time someone gets a wild hair to rearrange everything, fuck em, i use chromium mostly, and occasionally Palemoon (fork of the old good firefox) for some websites that are simple, and keeping an eye on Vivaldi which looks fairly decent. this pic is what firefox is now, it is not a sleek slender fox anymore, it has become a fat bloated old dog http://i.imgur.com/F0qAJrC.jpg
now if and/or when this filters down to the chromium builds included with Linux distros that just remove people's ability to customize how their browser functions, i dont even want flash on my PC at all, not even as disabled code, i guess its time to find another browser
like Electricity, Gas or water, only with actual competition, no more being monopolized by the cable company and/or phone company then when city, county and/or state gov can sell fiber to the door at a nominal fee

should abandon making apps for ms-windows and focus on making apps for Linux, make them portable so all anyone has to do is unzip them in the users home dir ~/[my_app_name] and run the executable, and when ms-windows starts losing too much userbase because of their anti-competitive methods of conducting themselves they might change their tune,
of course it is going to put a hell of a lot of people out of work, not saying its right, not saying its wrong. but just that it will eventually happen, how fast it happens i dont know. just that the technology is there and that is what it is capable of doing, (automating transportation) it might take the next 50 to 100 years to make human drivers obsolete, heck it might even make airline pilots obsolete too
