i have noticed the government gotten more & more drunk and insane with their control & power, and it is steadily getting worse, my only question is how tyrannical will they get before the citizens of this nation wake up and turn on them...
agriculture totally depends on petroleum, to make fertilizers, herbicides & insecticides, from beginning to end the entire process of modern industrialized farming depends on oil, if something happens to either the supply of oil or just a few bad growing seasons for one reason or another it could cause a big chunk of civilization to starve, and if that happens it wont be pretty, (i sure dont want to be around to witnesses it)
pretty soon it will be like a cross between a UN CSPAN and infomercials so your choice will be to buy something imported from a third world state owned sweatshop built with slave labor or watching a bunch of old men argue international politics...

if a website (including google) can bend your browser over and sodomize it then they will, so instead of crying about a website violating some rule of conduct just build a secure operating system & browser that can not be taken advantage of (since they are supposed to be integrated and inseparable)
you're not kidding, i used to drive an 18 wheeler, although my cargo was harmless = perishable food items in a reefer, i drove quite a few years and seen some horrific accidents involving tractor-trailer rigs, I wonder if one of those nuke hauling trucks ever hit something at 70+ MPH and was demolished scattering their payload all over the place contaminating the locale and who ever happens to be nearby that does not die in the impact, yeah = i seen wrecks like that
i bet if they looked at everything, the content of the cache, the names of the files i bet they could find info that ties it all to my IP address which means they could figure out who i am and start targeting me with advertising and prejudiced pricing according to my demographic and income., fuck google they can go to hell, along with amazon, and every goddamn online retailer on the internets.

because sooner or later the government at the behest of their bankster & corporate overlords are going to pull the rug out from under internet freedom and the internet will be reduced to online shopping at your government/bankster/corporate approved websites, forums like your beloved slashdot will be a thing of the past since these evil overlord dont want to be bothered with filtering and approving all the comments, so the internet will resemble an interactive version of the "shopping channel" much like what you have on your local cable television, I will pull the plug and cancel my ISP account when that happens.
lets see the USA charge head first in to China or Russia like they do the weaker little nations, i bet the other two big boys on the block wont lay down to having their sovereignty violated like the rest of the world is forced to tolerate
