    always trying to figure out new ways to steal profits from Apple. I'm not impressed with this clever little trick. Hopefully they shut this down so iphone users will ease off the text messages or pay their fair share of bandwidth being used. Maybe its time to brick iphones when people try to circumvent the process.

    Why is seeding a dead planet with life considered unethical? Since when? You say that we decided as a species that doing so was against our moral conduct but I've gotta ask.. when did that debate take place? By who? The supreme court of the world?

    is send a dozen or two probes to Mars full of bacteria/fungus and whatever other DNA based lifeform that shown ability to live in extreme conditions and populate the planet of Mars. A few of the probes should carry heavy drilling equipment.. bore into crust of mars and dump a few loads of bacteria..

    its pretty obvious we'll fuck this planet up sooner rather than later so its probably a good idea to spread the seeds of life somewhere else. Maybe in 100 million years new life forms will thrive on Mars.

    because ron paul is a hypocritical asshole? He votes NO! on every spending bill but quietly slips in all sorts of expensive earmarks for his constituents. The NO! vote is great public relations, I grant him that, even earning him the title "Doctor No" but Mr. Paul knows that his single vote won't change anything so he votes NO and spends, spends spends just like everybody else in washington.

    The man is a total fraud and many have been suckered by his message.

    the mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick, was sending all sorts of text messages of nasty sorts (speaking ill of local politicians, incriminating himself in a murder and corruption trial.) But one of the questions that I bet a lot of people were left asking.. Are my text messages being saved by the phone company? I can't say for sure but someone else here may know... maybe they were being saved only because he was a government employee?

    wouldn't the satellite view on google maps infringe on their privacy rights as well? i'm sure microsoft and their satellite pictures are guilty in this regard as well.... i would think the overhead/satellite pictures are far worse because would be attackers have a better idea of how to launch their next assault on the house.

    well I'm a little curious about this. Was there ever any consideration to selling the spectrum on a regional & local basis instead of the whole damn thing to one or two corporations? what about the small time players in rural minnesota or michigan that have a business idea but are now forced to pay Verizon usage fees for a resource verizon will never use in those markets to begin with?

    The way I'm looking at this situation is that the public just had a shared resource stolen from them by the fat cats on wall street...

    i'm not a kde user but there seems to be a lot of excitement in their community... moving forward and building new desktop apps. Not sure whats happening to gnome... if the novell/decaza's are still mired in microsofts patent shadow or what, but it seems like its dying, thats just my impression. gnomedesktop.org is basically dead, press releases posted up once in a while for the sake of procedure but whatever. doesn't help that the developers in irc (irc.gnome.org) are combative with new users.. whatever.

    I would vote for McCain if that were the case. The clinton/bush era needs to end, RIGHT NOW. I've never been actively involved in politics but if Hillary is the nominee that will change. Knocking on doors in ohio? I'm right next door so that would probably be the best place to work against her possible election.
