Why does this website care so much for Paul? White supremacists and slashdot seem to be his only base of support. It makes as much sense as Obama winnin g the majority of liberal and conservative voters, and losing the moderates.
HAHAHA ps3 sux0rs. sony is shit hahahaha ps3 is a failure hahahaha hilarious. and it's mostly true. it WOULD be true
except....
people don't know about..
ratchet and clank. it will rule the world.. or at least it'll make the few people that don't buy into popular hype and opinion (or anti-hype in this case), and actually try things out themselves instead of yelling at a machine they've never used, very happy
true; but you know, all the other telcos cooperated with the nsa ass well, it's not just at&t. if apple really wanted to start a revolution, they should've made it voip. but i guess that's not really practical right now...
It sure is sad to think we won't know anything about the future or the past once we die. I guess i just expect that at some point, humanity will get to that point, where we know everything that's ever happened and have crazy cool gadgets i'll never get to use. i can't even imagine what they'll be! i just hope for the end of the world in my lifetime (hopefully like 50 or so years from now) so i can die knowing that at least i didn't miss out on any cool toys. plus, maybe aliens would end up finding MY bones and put me in a museum somewhere
how crazy is it, though, that we can look so far into the past.. if only we could communicate with someone there we could ask em to tell us what was going on here 7 billion light years ago.
Like 600 comments and not a mention of ml_ipod. itunes DOES suck. ml_ipod on winamp is pretty much the greatest thing on windows. now, my question is, is ml_ipod still gonna work?? or is this just linux specific.
if this was microsoft, comments on this thread would be way one-sided.. and you all know it. i just wanted to be the guy reminding you, i personally don't care about any company. it's too bad though because the ipod is a kick ass device and i was just about to be needing a new one and i was just about to switch to linux.
the firewire is great! i could do with improvements to the viewing angle, no doubt, and the mag-safe power connection on macs is super sweet. battery life, if it becomes a problem, which it isn't, i can easily replace. nothing to pay $500+ for though, i can do without it.. imovie and iphoto.. im sorry, what do i need that for again? how's them games on your mac, by the by?
listen, to each their own. thing is, most people that buy macs nowadays don't really NEED to get a mac, they just get it cos they're in a shiny pretty white box. they're buying a logo. the things the average mac user does with their mac.. go on the internet, write paper, internet, paper, internet, movie, mp3s... you can do a cheap ass machine that runs just as good and is half the price. if you're a movie or music producer, then yea, probably get a mac. but most people aren't.
i think it's mostly bad pr and widespread internet comment that has ruined vista's chances. i personally have it installed and compared to xp it is waaaaaaaaay more stable. actually, my computer hasn't crashed AT ALL the whole time i've had vista, which is something i couldn't say with xp.
what're you talking about. i just got an extremely decent hp for $600. a comparable apple laptop would cost 1200k+. bought a similar dell last year for $700. dual-boot ubuntu and you're all set.
apple are as bad a corporation as microsoft is. actually, being such a minority in the market, and still having all the same monopolistic practices microsoft has, at 2x the price, i can't imagine what they'd be like if they ruled the market.
count me as a person who's now on his SECOND dying ipod in just three years and has not been at all impressed. but congratulations on all you hip people with sexy white boxes. i have pretty much the same thing you have at half the price:)
and you know ants don't have perspective because......... you're an ant? you've spoken to one?
eh, i just hate how we are always assuming other species can't do this or can't do that.. you know, chimps and bonobos stare up at the night sky, just looking around at the sky. who's to say they're not saying to themselves "wow this is fucking beautiful".. who knows what dolphins and whales and many other animals are thinking about... you know, just stop speaking for all species. we know what we humans can do, we know what we think a bout, and that's it. to assume we're the only ones that can think, that can wonder, that are amazed by just being, is ignorant.. because we don't know SHIT
Tetris is never at the top of these lists, but it's the only game that deserves to be. Universally liked, extremely addictive, and never gets old even after 20+ years. Still the top selling game for cell phones, still the game you want on your graphics calculator. But it never gets any love from the gaming press.
No doubt. I had always wanted to switch to a Mac, but over the past four years with so much hype about mac this mac that and everyone raving, while my only real world experience with Apple products has been two $300 ipods that start dying after two years, I could do little else than wonder if it was really necessary. After all, I can use the internet, listen to music, and view video just fine on my cheap windows machine.
And really, the latest round of Apple commercials say it all. Now, they're funny. well, the windows guy is funny. but the Mac guy is the typical Mac user I've ever met. Oh, with mac you can do this and that so much better, I'm artsy and cool and you're lame cos you don't have a mac. uh huh ok.
And all this creates a bitterness, perhaps not totally rational, towards Apple. You realize, Apple is just like any other corporation. Their tactics are really no different than Microsoft, except they're second to them. They'd screw you over in a second if it'd make them a few bucks, and they charge premium prices because they're selling you not just a computer, not just an mp3 player, but a style. And you say "fuck it" and buy a $500 dell with the option of switching to a different OS if windows really gets on you.
You know, the RIAA and MPAA should concentrate on creating experiences that can't be recreated for free, in the comfort of your own home. They should realize by now that they can't fight internet downloading, and they should quit wasting resources doing so. Instead, improve the product you're trying to sell. I've probably gone to see 3d IMAX movies twice as often as i go to regular theaters, because it's just not the same watching Deep Sea 3d at home. Actually, I can't watch Deep Sea 3d at home. James Cameron is supposed to be working on a 3d sci fi flick he says will revolutionized the industry, and frankly, I can't wait to see it.
I download music all the time, too. Like, all the damn time. I have so many mp3s i can barely keep up. 10 years ago i listened to 3 bands: smashing pumpkins, radiohead, and nine inch nails. I didn't know of any others and i wasn't willing to experiment with my money (cos i didn't have any). These days, i might not buy many albums at all (probably like 2 a year, of the stuff i really really REALLY like), but in the past week alone i've spent over $200 dollars buying up concert tickets to concerts i'm gonna be attending in the coming months. The only reason i'm going to these concerts is cos i downloaded these mp3s and liked them a lot and i wanna see the band live, becuase that's an experience that can't be recreated thru bittorrent for free.
So, for example, a band like Do Make Say Think is not getting the $10 they charge for their cds this time around, but they're getting $30 for two concert tickets. Now, is my "pirating" a gain or a loss for do make say think? Seems to me like, in the end, they came out ahead. Not even gonna factor in that this is the 4th time I'll be seeing them, and that i've dragged along about 10 people into their shows in that span.
I mean, the internet has been extremely good for music and art in general. 10 years ago, bands like Pavement starved for success but couldn't find any because they couldn't get exposure. Today, everybody has listened to Pavement and if they hadn't broken up due to the frustration of getting exposure they might still be around today. These days, because people "steal" music, bands like Modest Mouse and Arcade Fire and crazy weird shit like sigur ros and aphex twin have millions of listeners and millions of fans, and when these "unknown" bands go on the road today, their shows sell out and people buy tshirts and even, ocassionaly, they'll sell a cd as well. Anyone saying file sharing is bad for music is pouting bs and is just greedy.
well i mean, if i'm already gonna be paying 500 i might as well go the extra hundred and get the premium whatever it is, so i'm not so bad off when the upgrades start coming
Why does this website care so much for Paul? White supremacists and slashdot seem to be his only base of support. It makes as much sense as Obama winnin g the majority of liberal and conservative voters, and losing the moderates.
yea, it's really hard to make a myspace page......
(that's all the record companies do these days)

Charge people buying the internet FUD on Vista for XP today..... and then charge them again a year later when they have to upgrade to Vista!
Their albums are only available as a whole - you can't download individual songs.

victim of its own hype.

$600.
last year i bought a dell with bluetooth and everything above for $700. nothing you listed is worth $500.

ack, nevermind, i misread your post.
well, why would they be? do any serious music fans watch mtv anymore?
and you know ants don't have perspective because......... you're an ant? you've spoken to one?

i'm sure the internet will get on it as soon as it leaks.

they should've sold the thing without the phone feature. no one would be complaining right now

yeah, cos everyone that's gone to space so far has been a football jock right?
well, i use google. i write "wikipedia world war 2" for example, and click on the first link. so easy
then again i also type "google" on the firefox search bar, and then click on the first result which takes me to the google homepage.
