This reply is totally baffling. You are basiclly agreeing with everything I said, yet doing it wiih a tone that makes it sound like you're disagreeing.
Any decent RDBMS has a BLOB (or simmilar) datatype, in which you can store binary data of any size. I've heard many time sof things such as images and even movies stored in here. Just be prepared for some huge database backups!
Man, record companies aren't stupid. They're out to make as much money as possible. To do this, they need ot sell the greatest numbr of records as possible. To do this, they have to cater to the majority. Which is what they do. When are you people going to realize that statements like "we don't like plagerized cloned music" are blatently false, at leat when tlaking about the majority of the population. This type music IS what the majority like, thats why they make so much of it. If people didn't like this stuff, it wouldn't sell, and they'd stop making it. It's that simple.
And no, its not because "Well thats the only stuff they put out nowadays, so poeple have to like it". THats also totaly false. There is tons of music out here. Most people choose Pop music. It's that simple.
BBC huh? you sure thats not A British billion? In America, a Billion generally means a thousand million. (1x10^9) In England, a billion means a million million (1x10^12). So, if the BBC is reporting it as 1 billion dollars, that is really 1 trillion dollars in American terms. Now, Im not saying that it is either of these, maybe somehwer in between?
Take me for example. All thse numbers are being extremely conservative for me.
I'll say I surf an average of 2 hours per day. Thats 120 minutes per day, or 7200 minutes. Now, assume I spend around 30 seconds ona web page before clicking a link to view another (This is a VERY high estimate for me). Thats around 240 page views per day, or $2.40 by this "penny per page" scheme. Thats 72 dollars per month, in addition to my 45 dollars per month for my DSL connection.
And this is being conervative! I can easily name days where I spent upwards of 8 hours online, roughly half of which was viewing web pages. This is much too expensive, I'd never go for it. Maybe 0.25 cents per page is more reasonable.
64 bit PCI slots have been around for while, and are common in servers. Theyre around twice as long as a 32 bit PCI (duh), and older 32 bit PCI cards work fine in them.

You don't even need ghostscript for windows. I just installed that so I could view what I printed (to make sure it turned out ok). I just installed the HP PaintJet XL300 drivers that come with windows, and had it print to file. My output is 1.83 megs (bigger than the original), but its a perfect copy.
Because since Kazza modified their protocol so that everything has to go through a single server, authenticated by a valid kazza client, kza and giFT on linux no longer work.
Sorry, I gues I should have bolded the "Other" part. Make what "other" polygons dead? The ones that aren't 3D apparantly. And what does making a polygon dead mean anyways? The post makes no sense to me at all.
It features a 3rd person perspective and the ability to make other polygons dead.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't ALL polygons 3D?

Only way? My Dreamcast has no hard drive and its been running Linux for awhile, and that sure isn't with any memory card. Ever hard of a bootable CD? Or an NFS root?

I totally agree with your entire post. Mod up +1 Insightfull.
since Kazza changed their protocol to a server-centric model (go read the link you just posted). Besides, QTella kicks Limewire's butt anays.
By most definitions, especially the couse I took on "Operating Systems", the kernel pretty much is the operating system.
Didn't you know? There's already a GNU OS. It's also been called "Emacs" in some circles.

What Ultra 133 buys us is the ability to use drives in excess of 137GB. Suddenly, 160MB drives are showing up that use this new standard.
Wow, I can't wait until the 1 G+ ones come out so I can actually fit a day's worth of data on them :)

Hey, while we're out watching the meteors, I bet the /. crew will be trying to figure out how many copies of the same article they can dish out!
C'mon guys, this is like what, 10 repeats in 2 weeks? It's getting ridiculous. Do you read any of these comments or what?

I just installed ghostscrpit for windows and printed the thing as a .ps file.
Took me all of 3 minutes to do :o)
