    Only depending on the country. What does a CEO care about a $100, $250, or even a $1000 ticket?

    Never EVER take the Coastal Starlight. That's 9-12 hour trip when other trains are 6-9 hours.

    There's an added bonus of getting to your destinations during daylight. Coastal Starlight? I once rolled in two hours late at 1:30 AM.

    If they have a smoking car, it better be in the back and, ideally, physical separate from the rest of the train and includes its own crap/snack bar dining area.

    I'd hate to be in the car hooked up to that one or be in the way when some smoker walks by with that unholy stench of an aura.

    In fact, maybe we could just put them on the roof or drag them behind.

    Really? I would hope that justice is served and not some blanket GUILTY to be thrown over him or Assange.

    And you know what else? I would hope that what the released documents reveals is taken into account.

    Full names and pictures of informants? Tactical data (response times, UAV patrol routes and times, etc.)? That should be on Assange's head since he went and released all the data when the DoD called his bluff.

    Cover ups? Friendly fire incidents rebranded into media friendly heroic last stands? Whoops, shot up a reporter standing around and a van full of kids? Yeah, I think Manning should be saluted for having a conscience and letting the world see what the fuck is going on over there.

    Not that it matters though. Media will ignore it or just sit around speculating about his trial then switch to whatever is THE NEW PRESSING URGENT DANGEROUS THING THAT COULD KILL YOU right after the commercial break.

    Remember that oil spill? You wouldn't know it if you read the news in the last couple weeks.

    Oooh! Oooh! I know this!

    Stop sign? Cruise through at 10 MPH.
    Turning? Don't signal 75% of the time. Other 25%, signal after starting turn.
    Speed limit? Always 120% to 140% the posted limit.
    Attention to road? Pah. Drive with one hand on the wheel while gabbing on the phone. If you can be eating or drinking, that's good, too, especially if you do so while on the phone.

    And above all else, look indignant when the person you almost hit yells out in alarm.

    I recognize the advances electronic components have created in vehicles but there has to be a sweet spot between efficiency/safety and reliability. I wonder how computer system on cars fair against those on planes.

    It's a shame that your experience didn't show you how unfair and unethical it is. And, by the way, the fact that it has been happening for years and years doesn't make it right either.

    Arrests should never be public record. Conviction? I suppose. That and jail time being the price to pay.

    It's not easy to devise a fair system, one that can be lenient at times and proactive against clear dangers to the public at large. This... pre-conviction punishment is just as outrageous as continued punishment as jail (lost of voting rights, sex offender lists, etc.).

    I've always wondered what was the deal with food allergies. I say peanut allergies because it often provokes such an insane reaction. Is it genetic and those genes were always around but we never made the connection between food and symptons or is it something that developed as we changed or our environment changed?

    There's other examples of our change of habitats. Heartburn/gastic reflux/stomach cancer is one I remember just off the top of my head.

    Indeed. Granted, if they have the time and capacity to yoink your desktop, a lockbox would be just as easy to take. ...unless you have it bolted to the floor or wall studs (but even then...). Best design I've seen was one sunk into the concrete floor. Easy to miss and good fucking luck making off with that.

    Though now that I think about it, having a half a dozen around the house as decoys would be great to confound and frustrate any thieves.

    I don't know about that. Trained ones, sure but from what I've seen on It Takes A Thief, everyday pooches that raise a fuss at strangers coming in won't actually attack.
