    I don't want much, really, just a stock android phone that doesn't suck, is regularly updated and has a slot for a MicroSD card

    It's got geo-IP checking to stop you using it outside the UK. Even though I am British when I go on holiday abroad I can't use iPlayer.

    Because we have to trade with EU nations, which means our exports have to meet their standards. Since we would no longer be a member we won't have an influence on what those standards are.

    I'm an android user but I've used my girlfriend's iPad a few times. Can you not press and hold on an app until they start to to shake, then move apps around and put them in folders?

    "Likewise, you could stream a game from a Windows PC to an OS X machine, or vice versa."

    Unfortunately, the vice versa part isn't quite there yet, only Windows PCs can be the host OS at the moment. Valve do intend to patch in host functionality on Linux and OS X eventually though.

    I find the basic unit of Powershell being the object, rather than characters to be a big stumbling block to learning it.

  22. I believe, on the mac side at least, the issue was some sort of patent HP has on wireless printing. I was looking forward to the original airprint, which Apple beta'd with software to put on your mac to let iPads use printers on it. This software was later removed, and the part of apple's site about airprint had a list of HP printers to buy instead. From the beta's withdrawal came the release of "airprint activator" a nice third party tool that did what apple's software was supposed to before it got lawyered to death.
